This 2008 Lamborghini Murciélago LP640 roadster was purchased by the selling dealer on BaT in April 2026 and was converted to a six-speed manual transmission by Royalty Exotic Cars in Las Vegas, Nevada, in June of that year. Finished in Nero Aldebaran over Nero Perseus and Bianco Polar leather, the car is powered by a 6.5-liter V12 linked to an all-wheel-drive system with a limited-slip rear differential. Equipment includes the Carbon Package, as well as a Larini Exhaust system, adaptive suspension, 18″ alloy wheels, xenon headlights, a removable black convertible top, active aero elements, a gated shifter, automatic climate control, and a Bluetooth-capable Pioneer touchscreen infotainment system paired with a custom sound system. The $68k invoice for the conversion can be viewed in the gallery, and additional work under current ownership included cleaning the fuel injectors, servicing the air conditioning system, replacing the fuel filters and engine mounts, and applying paint protection film to the exterior. The Murciélago was designed by Luc Donckerwolke and was publicly unveiled in 2001 at the Frankfurt Motor Show as the replacement for the Diablo. This roadster is finished in Nero Aldebaran and features a black removable soft top. Exterior details include xenon headlights, a pantograph windshield wiper, scissor doors, automatically deploying rear intakes, a speed-activated rear spoiler, rear fog lights, and a hexagonal exhaust outlet. The door struts were replaced in 2022, and full-body paint protection film was applied under current ownership.
The 18″ Hemera alloy wheels were mounted with Pirelli P Zero Corsa tires in May 2026. The car is equipped with active dampers, and stopping power is provided by silver-finished calipers over a cross-drilled rotor at each corner.
The manually adjustable seats are trimmed in Nero Perseus leather with Bianco Polar inserts. Carbon-fiber trim accents the dashboard and center console, and additional appointments include a gated shifter, automatic climate control, inboard shoulder restraints, and a Pioneer touchscreen infotainment system with Bluetooth connectivity and a CD/DVD player linked to a trunk-mounted JL Audio amplifier and a custom sound system with a Kicker Subwoofer. Sticky switchgear was addressed in 2022, and the air conditioning relay and driver and passenger vent motors were replaced.
The leather-wrapped and carbon-trimmed steering wheel frames a 220-mph speedometer and a 9k-rpm tachometer as well as gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and oil temperature. The digital odometer indicates 14k miles, less than 200 of which were added under current ownership. The driver’s airbag was repaired in 2022.
The mid-mounted 6.5-liter V12 was factory rated at 632 horsepower and 487 lb-ft of torque and features a Larini exhaust system. Work performed in 2022 consisted of replacing the battery, alternator, air filters, and spark plugs, while service in 2026 included changing the oil and coolant, cleaning the fuel injectors, and replacing a coolant hose, air conditioning compressor cover, air conditioning lines, fuel filters, and engine mounts. Power is sent to all four wheels through a six-speed manual transmission and an all-wheel-drive system with a limited-slip rear differential. Service in 2026 included changing the front and rear differential fluid in addition to replacing the pilot bearing, throwout bearing, torque tube bearing, and rear differential bearings. An August 2022 service record, at ~14k miles, noted the clutch life at 89%.

The price of an auto + the price for the conversion and the price of a swapped LP will eventually balance itself out. These guys timed it right and have presented a great car very well. I expect the conversion shops to get a lot of phone calls after this one.

With its naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V12, all-wheel drive, open-top design, and gated six-speed manual conversion by Royalty Exotic Cars, this is a pretty special combination and one of the most engaging ways to experience the Murciélago platform.
A lot was also done to properly sort the car at the same time as the manual conversion. Recent work included a complete engine service, injector cleaning, fresh Castrol Edge 10W-60 oil, OEM oil and fuel filters, Motul 75W-90 gear oil, coolant and hose replacement, A/C compressor cover and lines, and an OEM engine mount. The pilot bearing, throwout bearing, torque-tube bearing, and rear differential bearings were also replaced during the conversion.
We recently took the car on a cruise with a group, and it drove exceptionally well with no issues at all. This is truly a well-sorted LP640 that’s ready to be enjoyed for years to come!

@haaski Thanks for pointing it out. Just to clarify, the shifter is not coming out of gear at any point, and the slight movement you’re seeing in 3rd and 5th is completely normal for these cars. It’s simply part of how the gated shifter and mechanical linkage operate.
There has been no grinding, popping out of gear, or difficulty selecting any gears. We drove factory manual LP640s in Las Vegas before the conversion was completed, and the shifter feel and movement are identical. We’ve also had multiple LP640 conversions completed by Royalty Exotic Cars, and they all operate this way.

Based on the driving video, the manual gear lever does not appear to stay in the 3rd- and 5th-gear positions. Instead, the lever moves toward the horizontal/center position. I’m not sure what could be causing this. Perhaps Houston could take a look and provide some insight into what might be happening??

We know that the conversion is $68k to start, along with usually tens of thousands of additional parts and labor due to most cars being neglected and needing a lot of TLC and “while you’re in there” things - which Royalty does an exceptional job at making sure each car is first-class sorted.
So realistically on this car you’re looking closer to just above $800k - anything less would be a great deal in today’s market given the last sales comps. Especially considering another near identical conversion car went for almost $750k with double the mileage.
Why is this all somehow justifiable? Well, just look at the number of factory gated manual LP640 Roadsters that were produced, then look at what they sold for… this is your ticket to entry on a 1:1 experience for a fraction of the cost and guilt free ownership experience

@carguychase there is no infinite money glitch, do you know how many of those 2000 lp640 are still in good shape? Most are in absolute garbage condition. This was the ultimate flex car, imagine all the influencers today, the same ones back in this era were buying these bc it was pretty much the only elite car. No influence was driving a 599 for instance at the time. Most of the lp640, only 563 came to the US, most of them were abused, neglected on service, had big rims, etc. As time is happening, as you're seeing now low mileage ones treated well, in original condition are getting harder to find. I have 1 of the 23 manual coupes and I also have a sub 10k mile manual swapped car, these cars are going into the hands of collectors now and the reality is there are very few in good shape. A full service from houston is included in that manual conversion and he gets the car just perfect.

@carguychase We definitely understand where you’re coming from, but there’s quite a bit more involved with this car than simply buying an E Gear Murciélago, converting it, and putting it back up for sale.
The manual conversion was only one part of the work. Beyond that, the car received new tires, the wheels were refinished back to factory silver, the front bumper was repainted, the headlights were rebuilt and restored, PPF was installed, the center console and leather were refinished, damaged ducting was replaced, additional paint repairs were addressed, and the car received a major detail with dry ice cleaning.
That’s all on top of the mechanical servicing, differential work, rebuilt shocks, new OEM components, bearings, fluids, and inspections already documented in the listing. We have also added the additional invoices below so everyone can see more of what went into properly sorting the car. The factory E Gear components removed during the conversion are also included with the sale and are shown below carefully wrapped and protected.

Is there a color breakdown on murcis available anywhere? It feels like most are dark colors and bright colors rarely come up for sale on here. Is that bc the yellow, orange, verde Ithaca types are rarer or just more desirable they rarely come up for sale?

I have said this before and I'll say it again the only place to have your Murcie converted is Royalty. Their process and service are the best. Houston stands behind his work. I'm saying this as someone who owns a pre-lp roadster first converted by another company that did not stand behind their work and then re-converted by Houston - who has been incredible.

So if the ~30k-mile LP640 Roadster Royalty conversion just brought $696k, and the low mile E Gear Roadster just brought $700k, what does a 14k mile Batman spec Roadster Royalty converted car bring? Has to be $750–800k territory at this point?The market clearly wants Murcielagos, and its becoming equally clear that three pedal cars (factory manual or properly converted) are commanding a real premium or at least cost to convert plus some for a first class job. It’s also been fun watching nearly every Murcielago that sells on here end up with Houston for a conversion. Real car enthusiasts are buying these cars to actually drive them, and I absolutely love seeing it.

Yeah @seller 488Driven already has 2 Lambo wins this year, so if he or she is going after this with 50k bid increments, it's probably a good one.
So the seller bought it for 450k plus or minus fees, add on 70k conversion, and around 3.3k for tires, and then the updated maintenance mentioned in the listing. Plus the listing itself.
It's safe to say what it is going to take to buy this beauty. One clean sexy Roadster.

I'd say from my humble driving experience of 60 years with manual transmission rigs, that if a Lambo has 89% of its clutch left at 14K miles on the clock, the owner drove the car skillfully and it's holding up much better than any Ferrari V12 or V8 , just sayin' ...
