Presentation

This 2012 Porsche 911 Turbo S coupe was ordered with over $21k in Exclusive and other options including Aerokit bodywork, the Additional Interior Leather Package, clear taillights, rear ParkAssist parking sensors, heated front Adaptive Sport Seats, and extended deviated stitching. The car remained with its original owner until it was purchased in 2014 by the seller, who has driven a majority of the 28k miles. It was specified in Guards Red over a Black full leather interior, and power is provided by a twin-turbocharged 3.8L flat-six that drives all four wheels via a seven-speed PDK dual-clutch transaxle. Further appointments include the Sport Chrono Package, a sunroof, silver 19″ RS Spyder forged wheels, Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes, and a Bose sound system. This 997.2 Turbo S coupe is now offered with a window sticker, the owner’s manual, service records, a car cover, the removed set of wheels, a clean Carfax report, and a Texas title in the seller’s name.

The car is finished in Guards Red (84A) and was optioned with the $6,950 Turbo Aerokit, which added revised lower bodywork and a bi-plane rear wing. Exclusive options and other optional items are body-color headlight washer surrounds and side mirror attach point finishers, clear taillights, and rear ParkAssist parking sensors. Paint-protection film has been applied to the front bumper cover, front air dam, hood, headlights, side skirts, and mirror caps. The lower front air dam was replaced and refinished in July 2026. Photographs of three blemishes are shown in the gallery below.

The silver-finished 19″ RS Spyder forged wheels are mounted with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires that were installed in June 2025, at which time the brake fluid was replaced. Braking is handled by Porsche-branded six- and four-piston calipers over ceramic-composite rotors measuring 15″ and 13.8″ front and rear, respectively. The car is equipped with Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) as well as Porsche Stability Management (PSM) with an automatic brake differential (ABD).

The removed set of black-finished 19″ RS Spyder forged wheels are included in the sale, and they are wrapped in Bridgestone tires that show date codes from 2015.

The interior was specified in Black full leather with Exclusive-optioned deviated stitching that extends to the dashboard, center console, and door panels. Additional Exclusive options include leather trim for the headliner, dash, center console, instrument binnacle, sun visors, door finishers, and air vent surrounds as part of the Additional Interior Leather Package as well as Guards Red seatbelts and floor mats with red edges. The front Adaptive Sport Seats were optioned with a heating function, and additional interior details include a Bose surround sound system, red interior accents, a hardwired Valentine One radar detector, and a laser jammer. Two scratches are noted on the left-front seat.

The leather-wrapped steering wheel has Exclusive deviated stitching, is equipped with paddle shifters, and frames red-dial instrumentation including a central tachometer and a 225-mph speedometer, as well as gauges for oil temperature, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and fuel level. The Sport Chrono Package added a stopwatch atop the dashboard. The digital odometer indicates 28k miles, approximately 20k of which were added under current ownership.

The DME was replaced due to an airbag light that came on. The local Porsche dealer replaced the airbag module and the problem persisted. I did not have the Porsche dealer replace it due to Covid delays and the lengthy time to get a new DME (I was told six months to a year through the dealer). So the only way to turn the airbag light off was to replace the DME. I trailered my car to Phoenix and had a trusted Porsche mechanic install a used DME and reflash it. There has been no problem since in the car operates perfectly. Good question.

Yes, I was surprised that no one had asked that question. I do have a paint meter and have metered the panels. They are all very consistent. I can’t tell you with certainty that the only panels that have been painted on the car are as follows the lower front bumper lip (due to scrape marks on the bottom, so I purchased a new one and had it painted and PPF in December 2025). . The left rocker cover paint lifted when the PPF was being replaced last November. So it was re-sprayed and PPF. no other panels have been painted on this vehicle.
Oct 23, 2026 · 20:36
@seller, can you explain why you replaced the DME in 2022? Was it a preventive replacement, or did it address a specific issue? Have there been any electrical or drivability issues since then? Also, what is the condition of the ceramic brakes?
Oct 23, 2026 · 20:31
@seller - stunning car and GLWS today. I just perused through the gallery and didn't see and paint gauge photos. Somehow we made it to day 7 without anyone asking. Kind of late to request those I am aware. Has there been any paint or body work required during your ownership or prior ownership? Tks
Oct 23, 2026 · 20:30
I sold a white version of this car including aerokit and still kick myself to this day for that. Such a great model. Will be enjoyed for sure! GLWS

Yes the full hood, full fenders, Front bumper, lower air, dam, turn signals headlights, marker lights, Mirrors, lower skirts, Flared area of the quarter panels and the rear bumper wheel opening edge were all re PPFed in November in November 2025. The same areas were done previously, just looking aged due to the 13 year-old PPF.
The car has not been ceramic coated. I’ve only used old school wax on it for the last 12 years. That being said the finish is beautiful and slick. Also note this car has been stored primarily in climate controlled garage most of the 12 years that I’ve owned it. Also, FYI, the seats headliner and all leather services have been cleaned and conditioned with Porsche products every six months of my ownership over the last 12 Years. I’ve done that because in the past when not cared for Porsche seats have gotten hard and weathered. These are still soft and look and smell new. This car has maybe been caught out in the rain twice since I have owned it. She Truly is a well, cared for beautiful specimen!
Oct 22, 2026 · 15:22
So, any ceramic coating or PPF on the car?

@Royboysw - That is too funny!
This must be one of the nicest 997.2 Turbos out there. I've been studying the photos and it is amazing. The silver wheels with the red paint have a real presence. I also like the tasteful interior color matching. It makes a statement without being overdone. The presentation is honest and the car looks like it was in a time machine. When evaluating some of the dealer auctions I worry they went too far cleaning/detailing and you're never really sure what is underneath. This one looks very consistent without any discontinuity in the appearance. No surprises below the surface here.

@johnkariofilis
No doubt about that, it is an absolute stunner. I'm looking for a 997 and had a moment there before I saw your comment. Unfortunately I'm looking for a manual car... easiest way to keep my wife in her Cayenne and out of a 911! I'm not saying she would curb the wheels, but maybe she would curb the wheels? This one is going to be a hot auction and a PDK is a great transmission.
