The 330 GT was designed as a longer-wheelbase successor to the 330 America and debuted at the Brussels Motor Show in January 1964 with Pininfarina styling featuring a rounded rear profile with wraparound taillight assemblies and a quad-headlight front fascia. Revisions for the model’s second series in 1965 included single headlights, three-louver fender vents, and bumpers with rubber-lined overriders.

Additional features include color-matched carpeting, a Pininfarina-branded ashtray, wood-trimmed dashboard fascia housing a lockable glovebox, power windows, and Becker Mexico radio. Damage to the driver’s footwell carpet can be viewed in the gallery.

The wood-rimmed steering wheel sits ahead of Veglia instrumentation including a 300-km/h speedometer, an 8k-rpm tachometer, and gauges monitoring oil temperature and oil pressure. The five-digit odometer shows 22k kilometers (~14k miles), approximately 6k of which were added under current ownership. A quartet of instruments to the driver’s right includes a clock and gauges monitoring coolant temperature, amperage, and fuel level.

I had this same car - chassis 7857. Loved it and had such a good time driving it. I once did a 3,000 mi road trip in mine. I also think the rear end of this car is one of the best shaped of any Ferraris, classic or modern. I hope the next owner of this car enjoys it as much as I enjoyed mine!

the pics show the area opposite the paint bubbles--shot from the inside. I haven't done any body work and it doesn't appear any has been done. The areas have not worsened since my ownership so I did not see a need to address :)

Thank you for posting the additional underside photos. In the second new underside photo, there appears to be some perforation/corrosion in the sheet metal at the upper edge of the image. Do you know what area of the car that photograph depicts, and whether that corrosion has ever been evaluated or repaired?
Sep 5, 2026 · 13:10
good morning everyone and welcome to the last few hours of my 330GT auction :) I've uploaded a few more pics to try and highlight areas of concern. The structure is sound and the bubbles in paint are the same since my purchase. I'll should have some pics from 23 years ago somewhere--looking now :) Thank you sincerely for all the great comments and banter! Please don't hesitate to contact me for any additional photos or video and good luck today!

@57SPEEDY — Can you comment on the condition and integrity of the body and structure underneath the areas of bubbling paint, particularly the rockers/sills? Has the car ever had rust repair or metal replacement in those areas during your 23 years of ownership? Do you know whether the bubbling is limited to the paint/bodywork or whether there is corrosion in the underlying metal? Thank you.

Thank you for your questions…many vehicles are manufactured prior to year designation. This example is a mid 65 with Series 1 dash. The manual fits the series l dash diagrams and does have a Series ll photo a few pages from the front so they did exist at the time of the manual’s publication.

I’d sure prefer this in the original Grigio Argento. And whatever the original interior was (I assume not beige…).
Sep 1, 2026 · 13:00
if you want to jack with feathering the accelerator until she warms up then to each their own. I choose to go by what works for me. The procedure James and the guys at Norwoods and the factory manual suggests works just fine. The choke sets a nice fast idle and no muss no fuss.

A little investigation shows that they build roughly the first 3 dozen cars with the Series I dash. The changeover coincided with the change from 4 point to 2 point engine mounts...
Aug 27, 2026 · 14:30
My apologies for not having my beloved Cocomats installed here. When I got the mock up they didn’t go up the footwell on either side so I declined. Looked odd just on the bottom.
Aug 27, 2026 · 14:28
Yessir.. as I understand the Italians didn’t throw much away so some carryover there. Personally I like the center rocker switches. Fits well with the rest of the dash IMHO.
Aug 27, 2026 · 14:15
Interesting to see that this car still features the door mounted window switches, flat bottom console, and auxiliary switches mounted in the center of the dash... as found in the Series I and Interim cars. I was unaware that the old layout carried over into Series II production...
Aug 27, 2026 · 14:05
