1980 Chevrolet C20 Custom Deluxe
Presentation
This 1980 Chevrolet C20 Custom Deluxe pickup was said to have spent time on a farm prior to the seller’s 2021 purchase. Following their acquisition, the truck underwent a two-year refurbishment that included the replacement of the bed, doors, front inner fenders, rear cab panel, floor pan, exterior trim, brake components, and the wheels. The 5.7-liter V8 and 700r4 four-speed automatic transmission were refreshed at that time, and the cabin was overhauled. The truck is finished in a tri-coat red metallic over black vinyl and features chrome bumpers, a bed liner, power steering, 16″ Vision wheels, Dakota Digital instrumentation, a touchscreen head unit, and a rear-view camera. This C20 is now offered in Canada with Ontario registration.
The frame was sand-blasted and repainted, and the body was fitted with a short bed and a one-piece rear cab panel. Additional replacement components include doors, front inner fenders, body seals, grille, headlight trim, wheel moldings, badges, bumpers, lights, windshield, and the antenna. Following the installation of the replacement panels and bed, the truck was repainted in a tri-coat red.
The 16″ Vision wheels were installed under current ownership and are mounted with BFGoodrich All-Terrain tires. The truck is equipped with power steering and Monroe shocks. The brake booster and master cylinder were replaced, along with the brake lines and other components, according to the seller.
The refreshed interior includes a bench seat upholstered in black vinyl, along with a color-coordinating dash pad, door panels, and carpeting. The seller tells us that a one-piece floor pan was installed, and the switches and rear-view mirror were replaced. A touchscreen head unit has been fitted and is linked with a rear-view camera. Wind noise is present from the right-side window.
The two-spoke steering wheel fronts Dakota Digital instrumentation, which includes a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and auxiliary gauges. The digital odometer indicates 634 miles.
The replacement 5.7-liter V8 sends power through a retrofitted 700r4 four-speed automatic transmission, and the seller notes that both have been overhauled. An Edelbrock carburetor and valve covers have been fitted, and the seller tells us that the exhaust system and fuel tank were replaced during the refurbishment.

Great job. Nice build. My brother bought one like this new right out of high school. Drove the wheels off of it and still got a pretty decent price when he was ready for a new one. Lots of good memories with this body style. Hope you have a successful auction and thanks for sharing this nice ride with all of us

@dhonthehill Yes i did shorten the frame. And yes i did put a lot of effort into this truck. It’s the first build I’ve done that i put on an auction.
