RoW 1993 Porsche 911 Turbo 3.6
Presentation
This Rest-of-World 1993 Porsche 911 is one of a reported 754 Turbo 3.6 examples produced for the model year and was imported to the US in 2002. It was purchased by the current owner in 2018 and subsequently underwent a six-figure restoration by Porsche Classic Center in Atlanta, Georgia, intended to replicate the car’s factory specifications and condition by rebuilding the turbocharged 3.6-liter flat-six and restoring the Cashmere Beige leather interior. Finished in Midnight Blue Metallic, the car handles shifting via a five-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential, and equipment includes 18″ Speedline wheels, a power sunroof, air conditioning, and a Porsche Classic Communication Management (PCCM) system. This 964 is offered on dealer consignment by a BaT Local Partner with a Porsche Production Specifications sheet, the owner’s manual, service records, a clean Carfax report, and a Georgia title.
The 964 Turbo featured widened bodywork when compared to the contemporary 911 and was fitted with aerodynamic side mirrors and a fixed rear spoiler. The 3.6-powered variant was introduced in January 1993, and this example is finished in Midnight Blue Metallic. Features include a power sunroof, a rear window wiper, and fog lights. Paint protection film has been applied to the hood and front bumper cover. The sunroof was repaired, and the front bumper cover and taillights were replaced in 2018.
The multi-piece 18″ Speedline wheels are mounted with Michelin Pilot Sport tires. The Turbo features uprated brakes compared to the standard 964, including larger red-finished calipers and cross-drilled rotors at each corner. A Front strut tower brace is fitted.
The Cashmere Beige leather seats were retrimmed in 2018, at which time the headliner, door panels, carpeting, and rear parcel shelf were replaced. Amenities include air conditioning, power-adjustable front seats, and a Porsche Classic Communication Management (PCCM) system.
The four-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a central tachometer, a replacement 180-mph speedometer, and gauges for oil pressure, oil temperature, oil level, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 32k miles, approximately 600 of which were added during current ownership.
The turbocharged 3.6-liter flat-six was factory rated at 355 horsepower and 384 lb-ft of torque.

@965, I wasnt able to completely remove the carpet as it would have involved removing the Strut brace. I did pull it back and take several pictures for you.

@seller I've seen a few cars from Venezuela. It seems they received things that might not appear on the CofA like full leather when it states partial and I had seen another with US bumpers. It looked pretty good before the refresh. The leather was a little dry but over all not bad.

@965, all of the leather was replaced at PCNA during the recommission. The listing states the car was imported from Venezuela. I will get you pictures under the front bonnet without the carpet.

@965, @Brutus143, there are some pictures when the car was first purchased. There is also a pic of Jack Swint from PCNA doing a PPi. The car was really in excellent condition except for a few oil leaks and other misc. items. The owner wanted as close to a brand new car which is why he sent the car to PCNA for its recommission.

@SlowNRusty I believe you are adding the estimate from 2018 and the actual bill from 2020. Looks like the actual money spent was $121,465. I wish we could see before pics. Seems like a lot of work needed for such few miles. @seller. The CofA states partial leather but the car shows full leather dash and other bits. I don't see this on the invoice was this done by prior ownership or is the CofA incorrect? I'm assuming the rear bumper was repalced with a US version back then as well? Do you know where the car was imported from back in 2002? Can we see pictures of the frunk without the carpet in place?

Welcome to our auction of this exceptional 1993 Porsche 911 Turbo 3.6! We are pleased to represent this very special 964 Turbo on behalf of its owner. What makes this example particularly noteworthy is its extensive restoration performed by Porsche Classic at the Porsche factory. The restoration took approximately two years and was completed in February 2020. Since completion, the car has been driven approximately 600 miles. It is accompanied by its Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, books, and supporting documentation. The 964 Turbo 3.6 is already one of the most desirable air-cooled 911 models, and the factory restoration history makes this an especially interesting example. We would like to thank everyone who has participated in the auction thus far, including those who have placed bids, asked questions, and contributed to the discussion. We appreciate the interest and enthusiasm surrounding this special Porsche. We encourage everyone to review the extensive photo gallery and documentation. We'll be monitoring the auction closely and are happy to answer questions or provide additional information throughout the week. Thank you again for your interest, and we look forward to a great auction!

@SlowNRusty And when the hammer drops on this magnificent example that will probably be money well spent.

Very interesting that they chose to make the car US DoT compliant by using the US spec rear bumper and front Bumperettes. Midnight is one of those colors that always pleases.
