1966 Mercedes-Benz 250SE Cabriolet 4-Speed
Presentation
This 1966 Mercedes-Benz 250SE cabriolet is one of approximately 950 examples produced between 1965 and 1967, and it received over $30k of work under prior ownership that involved installing electric air conditioning and a Becker AM/FM radio with Bluetooth connectivity, as well as repairing the instrument cluster, servicing the fuel injection pump and fuel injectors, and replacing the fuel pump and battery. It was previously sold on BaT in September 2024 before being listed again on the site in December 2025, and it was later purchased by the selling dealer on BaT in May 2026. Powered by a replacement 2.5-liter inline-six paired with a four-speed manual transmission, the car wears a repaint in light green and features Parchment leather. Additional details include a black soft top, 14″ steel wheels, disc brakes, US-specification headlights, lap belts, a Becker Europa AM/FM radio, and wood interior trim. This W111 cabriolet is now offered by the selling dealer in California with a clean Florida title.
The car left the factory finished in Papyrus White and was repainted light green under previous ownership. Exterior details include a black soft top, a top boot, front vent windows, US-specification headlights, dual side mirrors, and chrome bumpers. A chip is located on the windshield, and the right-front fender has a ding.
Steel 14″ wheels wear polished trim rings and hubcaps with body-color centers, and they are mounted with 195/75 thin-whitewall tires. The suspension includes an independent double-wishbone front setup with coil springs along with a rear single-joint swing axle. Stopping power is provided by disc brakes at each corner. Work under prior ownership involved replacing the steering coupler and damper as well as flushing the brake fluid.
The individual front seats and the rear bench seat were re-trimmed in Parchment leather under prior ownership, and the wood trim accents on the dashboard, center console, and A-pillars have been refinished. Replacement carpets have also been installed. A Becker Europa AM/FM radio with Bluetooth connectivity was installed under prior ownership, along with an electric air conditioning system, lap belts, a replacement dimmer switch, and an automatic antenna. The steering wheel and shifter are said to have been repaired.
The two-spoke steering wheel features a chrome horn ring and fronts gauges that were repaired under prior ownership. They include a 140-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and readouts for coolant temperature and oil pressure, as well as an inoperative fuel level gauge. The five-digit mechanical odometer shows 10k miles, and total mileage is unknown.
The replacement 2.5-liter M129 inline-six features Bosch mechanical fuel injection, and it produced 150 horsepower and 159 lb-ft of torque when new. Work under prior ownership included installing an electric fuel pump, servicing the fuel injection pump, and replacing two fuel injectors along with the battery, fuel filters, and alternator bracket.

@seller:
"The car is titled using VIN 250SE086882." I see the 086882, but does this full designation appear anywhere on the car? In FL a person from the DMV physically inspects the VIN and compares it to paperwork for accuracy when registering/titling. If it already has a FL title, I guess they were satisfied, but I'm wondering about another state. Thanks.

What am missing here?? I can understand one or two pictures reflect the incorrect car color due to lighting, angle… etc. but it appears that 100% of the pictures in this listing from different angles and at different lighting to be white paint. How recent are those pictures and was any photo software or filters used? Thanks for clarifying!

@AussieBenz - Yeah, on second look, it kinda does. I guess it was a really light mint green previously. It's kinda confusing, honestly.
