Description Bids & Comments

Presentation

This 2021 McLaren Elva is the final production car of a planned 149 Elva Series examples built, and it was delivered new with curated MSO Bespoke specifications to the current owner via McLaren Atlanta. The carbon-fiber body wears a green-tinted 2×2 twill carbon-fiber finish, while power is provided by a 4.0-liter DOHC V8 with two twin-scroll turbochargers and dry-sump lubrication. Additional features include a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transaxle, ProActive Chassis Control II, the Stealth Pack, deployable roll-over protection, electro-hydraulic steering, carbon-ceramic brakes, staggered-dimension super-lightweight forged wheels, a suspension lift system, parking sensors, a rearview camera, and a full windscreen. Inside, the cockpit houses carbon-fiber bucket seats that are trimmed in black Ultrafabric with MSO Bespoke green piping and stitching. Amenities include air conditioning, a touchscreen infotainment system, and a McLaren sound system. This McLaren Elva has 146 miles, and it is now offered on dealer consignment in Georgia with factory extras, a pair of Elva-branded Bell helmets, a car cover, a window sticker, service records, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Montana title.
The Elva was unveiled in late 2019 as part of McLaren’s Ultimate Series lineup with its design and name paying homage to the M1A, B, and C sports racers constructed in partnership between Bruce McLaren and Elva Cars. The open-roof bodywork is wrapped around a carbon-fiber MonoCell II monocoque chassis and is composed of three main carbon-fiber panels along with low-profile carbon-fiber dihedral doors.
This example is fitted with a full windscreen, and its body panels wear a green-tinted 2×2 twill carbon-fiber finish, a $250k option. The exterior trim is finished in brushed Galvanic Grey, and aerodynamic features include a front splitter, a rear diffuser, a body-color carbon-fiber active rear spoiler, intake scoops on each flank, and intake ducts channeling through each door.
Forged alloy wheels measuring 19×9” up front and 20×11” at the rear are finished in Dark Stealth and wear 245/35 and 305/30 Pirelli P Zero tires. The car is also equipped with a front lift system. Sintered cross-drilled and ventilated carbon-ceramic brake rotors measure 390mm in diameter and are acted upon by forged monobloc calipers that utilize six pistons up front and four pistons at the rear and are finished in black with white McLaren script. Stopping assistance is also provided by the rear spoiler.
The cockpit houses carbon-fiber bucket seats that are trimmed in black Ultrafabric with MSO Bespoke green piping and stitching. Body-color carbon-fiber surfaces extend to the doors, center console, and rear bulkhead, and the car was also optioned with the MSO Interior Trim package.
Additional features include a deployable rollover system, a padded central armrest, shoulder belts, floor mats, air conditioning, parking sensors, a rearview camera, a touchscreen infotainment system, and a McLaren sound system. Exposed carbon fiber lines the lower dash, sills, and floors.

Saw this exact Elva a few years ago in Vail, Colorado for their fall concours event. The owner had this Elva alongside his Senna, P1 and Speedtail displayed at the base of the main Vail chairlift. What an amazing collection!!!
He was super nice answering all my questions and even let kids sit in the cars for pictures. GLWA and the new owner will be very happy with this absolutely amazing Elva!

Thank you for showing and auctioning here. I just saw my first ELVA with full windscreen at local McL dealer. I have to say for those who have not seen it in person, the windscreen and alternative hood changes the car for the better in a way that left me speechless. Most powerful non hybrid McLaren made as my son told me edging me to try to buy it. Mom would kill us, I pushed back.
Really game changer. As Ferris Bueller said If you have the means …..
GLWA. For the record these are cheap now. I agree with the others who note that this HyperCar is ripe for appreciation.

@silverarrowcarsltd we couldn’t agree more! Having owned the “set” of McLaren Ultimate Series, the Elva truly stands apart. It’s quite possibly the best McLaren built to date and not nearly enough know it!
800+lbs lighter than an SP2 with more toque and about the same HP?!

This car has a pretty incredible place in McLaren history. The final examples produced from each of McLaren’s Ultimate Series models became part of the legendary Mansour Ojjeh collection, which was later sold as an entire collection for an undisclosed sum. This is the one car missing from that group. What makes the story even more remarkable is that Ojjeh’s Elva was actually a one-off example built by McLaren after Elva production had officially ended, specifically because his collection did not contain the final production car. That should give some perspective on just how significant these “last built” McLarens are to serious collectors. Opportunities like this simply do not come around very often.

To follow that up, what were SP1, SP2 and SP3 worth a year ago?
What was a GT2RS, 911R, 918 Spyder and a CGT worth a year ago?
What was a 488 Pista, Pista spider, 550 Barchetta, 430 Scud, 430 16M and 458 Speciale worth a year ago?
Logic has to have logic. They made 149 total and they are one of the most amazing cars to drive!
This is the last one made which could be argued that it’s the best of the 149?!
My guess is this is a $3m car in one year when the new W1 owners want to have the McLaren set (P1, Senna, W1 and Elva) and need to find an Elva to complete the set.
Without a doubt this is my “car to rise in value pick for the year!

Here is my 2 cents… could be wrong but I highly doubt it. It will be fun to come back a year from now and see if I am.
Logic says that all tides rise together right? A year ago what was a P1 worth? I think we can all agree approx $2m. What is it worth today? Over $3- $3.5… what was a Senna worth a year ago? $1.2 and now worth up to $3 for the ultimate spec.
The stability McLaren has as a company with their new ownership structure, the W1 coming out, the manual car coming out and the W1 roadster coming out, McLaren has a bright future ahead.
There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that the Elva will be worth significantly more than MSRP very soon. There are only 8 total USA examples made with full exposed carbon. To my knowledge there are only 55 USA Elva’s and 6 with a windshield. My records say that this is the ONLY colored carbon, with a windshield, USA example that was delivered.

I personally am not a fan of Mclarens in general however I have seen this car in person and sat in it ay Motor cars of Atlanta and it is truely stunning . The pictures here dont do the car justice .It has to be seen to be really understood and appreciated. It has a lot of presence in the flesh so to speak. only Mclaren that has ever really caught my eye and made me think what a beautiful car.

In 2020 I was invited by a prominent McLaren executive to the unveiling of the Elva at an invitation-only party . At the time it was the first one on US soil.
To be honest I didn’t want to go. It was a Wednesday and a I was working the next morning. I told myself I would stay for half an hour.
After two hours it was a blast and met so many clients there. Two in particular both had 675 LT model in both Coupe and Spider for with extensive MSO options, so they were both considering an Elva.
Later, I was introduced President of McLaren NA after he spoke about the Elva and its launch. We chatted and 45 days later had the brand-new GT press car delivered to my house to drive for a week and write about it. The car and experience completely changed me.
The Elva didn’t go as McLaren planned and I find this particular one with the very rare windscreen highly desirable coupled with the exposed carbon.
It’s much more sensuous in the metal but I should probably say in the exposed carbon. McLarens are typically a master class in aerodynamic engineering and that can be lost in pictures, but in person the Elva has width in the rear and an almost delicate front facia in appearance. But in usual McLaren fashion its performance is all very serious business.

Beautiful machine, but personally the satin hurts the look a ton, If it was a shiny finish, more like the interior, that would add a few hundred thou to the value, sating finish does what it does, dulls the car down, even with the cf coming through, which you can't see from the standing away from it view.

When I first bought my Harley, I thought windshields were for sissies. Then at speed I caught a hornet in my mouth and a rock to my cheek and a big gooey yellow bug of some kind on my forehead...
Were I to be spending zillions on a car like this I'd like to drive it and not have to wear a full-face helmet doing so. To me, the windshield is a deal-maker not a deal-breaker. And the car itself? Jeebus Crisco I wish I was rich....

With less than 24 hours left in this auction, I wanted to thank everyone who has placed a bid on this final production number (149 of 149) McLaren Elva. It is important to note that this Elva holds historical significance for both McLaren as a brand and the Elva as a model.
The Elva was initially slated to have 399 units produced. This number was reduced to less than half due to the Covid-19 Pandemic. Historically, the decision to reduce an already limited production vehicles unit number has gone hand-in-hand with higher future resale values (most notable with the Murcielago SV).
Another item to note is the evolvement of the McLaren brand that took place just this week. This change to the brands identity and logo marks an important time in the brands history, closing the chapter in which this Elva was produced.
Don't miss out on your chance to own this one, as it is likely to be the only opportunity!

Seeing the absolute final production Elva (#149 of 149) hit the block is historic, but the specification on this car is a masterclass in composite engineering.
Most people look at this and just see a "green car," but that Green-Tinted 2×2 Twill Visual Carbon Fiber Finish is a legendary $250,000 MSO factory option. As an engineering student, I find the labor behind this mind-blowing: McLaren's technicians have to painstakingly align the weave direction perfectly across three massive main structural carbon body panels so that the chevron patterns match flawlessly at every panel gap. Because there is no primer or opaque paint to hide mistakes, a single stray thread or misaligned weave means scrapping the entire multi-thousand-dollar panel.
Bidders should also note the presence of the full factory windscreen. While the standard speedster uses McLaren's Active Air Management System (AAMS) to channel air over the cabin, opting for the physical glass windshield makes this the ultimate choice for practical, high-speed road use
An exceptional way to end the production of the Elva!

@LongDucDong Its not really about the driving experience for lower bucks, its about having a piece of art that you will take up a winding, windy mountain road or the Woking country side, and the Elva isn't much of a pretentious car. It has very subtle lines while maintaining a beautiful presence. The Elva is a really wonderful car to own, not that I own one (besides the Lego version), but it's a really good looking and high reviewed car, a bit underpowered, but really, where are you going 200+ mph ;)

Ok, I admittedly own another of what I believe is 15 total and 5 in US Windshield Elvas. What is missing from the “driving” video (with manual shift mode not engaged) is how absolutely ear-to-ear-smile fun these cars are to drive or ride in. The seats are comfortable and you’re safe with the windshield, but there is still this unique sense of openness, to vision and sound. At full throttle the engine pops on upshifts, sounds great throughout acceleration and downshifts, then you hit the brake and you get startled by the airbrake (rear wing) popping up (visible in the mirrors). It’s light and super well balanced in its handling and confident to drive, turning in and full throttle exits (empty streets only, no track use for mine). No, not the car to take on a long road rally, but I’ve never had a car that produces so much fun per minute. Lots of memorable outings in ours and still only about 300 miles. This model was neglected due to its timing, late launch of the windscreen and almost no media coverage (is a decent Shmee video, but cut short by rain), but will eventually get its due (great points by ThinksHesFast). Good luck to bidders and seller !

Just throwing it out there, this is likely the best car outside of the 675LT that McLaren has ever made. The windshield car in particular, is epic. What a pure experience! I am eager to see how this goes.

The windshield really makes this car in addition to not driving with a helmet for bugs.
Sep 16, 2026 · 14:35
@joepags - it's not a $250k windscreen, that's just worded oddly. Look at the window sticker - the green tinted CF bodywork was $250k, windshield was a no cost option.

I find most of the last 10 years of super car design has become a bit boring. The reused look from Ferrari, Corvette, Acura, Lamborghini, etc, but this is different. Similar, but different. I love the bulging fender tops, sculpted sides, muscular quarter panels and the driver and passenger headrest fairings. Anynone one of those details alone would have been fine, but together they make for a truly spectacular looking machine.

Making a driving video of this car with such low miles impressed the heck out of me! @seller, that is awesome in my opinion. So many don’t post videos because of the low miles, but look at this beauty going down the road! GLWA

As I’ve said a few times before, I’m a serious fan of McLaren. Like Lexus with the LFA they don’t always read the market but their best cars are amazing. No, more than amazing.
I remember when the F1 was released. It wasn’t widely accepted. I think Leno bought his discounted about 20% off list with a couple thousand miles on the clock. But serious racers loved it and got McLaren to build the F1 GTR which I think was the only reverse homologated winner at La Mans. What’s funny is that the GTR had less horsepower than the original F1. Yeah, rules.
I would include the Senna but it’s design is so busy it reminds me of the C8. p.s. I don’t need any hate comments, it’s just my opinion.
The P1 is period great. One of the 3 hybrid amigos but not my favorite McLaren.
The F1 Speedtail is so beautiful and unique I have to ignore the hybrid add on. No one asked any of us to buy one. They were all sold before built. Unlike the original F1 this is not a race car it’s a piece of art.
And now let’s talk about this Elva. It’s a non-hybrid beast. 2500 lbs and 800 hp. In Mclaren style they released it without a windscreen. Wear your googles man! And then COVID hit. The combination of unconventional design ideas and bad luck made Mclaren lower production from 399 to 149. Bad luck for McLaren, good luck for McLaren collectors.
Look at this design, the heritage, the happenstance of rarity and the timing. In another decade, no one I would take seriously will doubt the respect this car deserves.
Best of luck @seller. This one is special.
