35k-Mile 1996 Porsche 911 Carrera 4S Coupe 6-Speed

This 1996 Porsche 911 Carrera 4S was purchased by the current owner in 2021 and shows 35k miles. Powered by a 3.6-liter flat-six that drives all four wheels through a six-speed manual transaxle with a limited-slip differential, the car is finished in black over Cashmere Beige leather. Equipment includes 18″ Turbo Twist wheels, a power-operated sunroof, heated front seats, cruise control, and air conditioning. This 993 C4S is offered on dealer consignment with service records, a clean Carfax report, a clean Carfax report, and a clean California title.
The 993 C4S features wider rear bodywork in comparison with the standard Carrera as well as a front air dam derived from the contemporary Turbo. This example is finished in Black (741) and features headlight washers, fog lights, heated power-adjustable mirrors, a power-operated sunroof, black rear bumperettes, a speed-activated rear spoiler, and dual exhaust outlets. Paintless dent repair has been performed on the hood, decklid, right door, and left fender.
The 18″ Turbo Twist wheels are mounted with Michelin Pilot Sport tires. The car features an Automatic Brake Differential (ABD), and the 993 was the first 911 to feature multi-link rear suspension. Braking is handled by red-finished Porsche-branded calipers over cross-drilled rotors at all four corners.
The heated power-adjustable front seats are upholstered in Cashmere Beige leather and complemented by a color-coordinated center console, door panels, and carpeting. Amenities include a CD stereo, a leather-trimmed shift knob and brake handle, cruise control, and air conditioning.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames VDO instrumentation including a central tachometer with a 6,800-rpm redline, a 180-mph speedometer, a Quarz analog clock, and gauges for oil pressure, oil temperature, oil level, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 35k miles, approximately 6,500 of which were added under current ownership.
The air-cooled 3.6L flat-six features a VarioRam intake system and was factory rated at 282 horsepower and 250 lb-ft of torque. The drive belts were replaced in 2021.

Very few cars I've owned match the joy and feeling of the 2 993s I had back in the 90s. They were great then and they are still great (better than modern day 911 in my opinion).

One of the things Porsche got absolutely right with the 993 C4S was giving it the Turbo's widebody and brakes while keeping the naturally aspirated engine. It's a completely different proposition from a Turbo, and arguably a more enjoyable package for someone who values balance over outright speed.
