1967 Porsche 911 Coupe S Upgrade

This 1967 911 Coupe is a desirable short-wheelbase example refinished in its original Irish Green. Displaying 9,694 miles since restoration, the car received a bare-metal restoration and repaint, complemented by re-chromed and replated metal trim, 911S updates inside and out. Period details include 15-inch Fuchs wheels with colored Porsche crest center caps, Vredestein Sprint Classic tires, rubber bumper overriders, an antenna, and a wooden steering wheel. Inside, black leather Recaro sport seats feature Pepita houndstooth inserts, all VDO instruments have been rebuilt, and seals and weather stripping have been replaced. Its period-correct presentation is further backed by paint protection film (PPF).
The 2.0-liter flat-six has been upgraded to 911S specification, adding approximately 30 horsepower with carefully selected components. These include Solex camshafts, street-ported cylinder heads, carburetors rebuilt to IDS specification, a balanced flywheel and pressure plate in 1967 S specification, and a later-style 911 Carrera chain tensioner. SSI heat exchangers and a stainless-steel Dansk sport muffler complete the exhaust system, while power is delivered through a five-speed manual transaxle. Four-wheel disc brakes provide stopping power.
Accompanied by documentation from new and a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, this Irish Green 911 offers an appealing combination of early short-wheelbase character and thoughtfully executed 911S-style upgrades. Its documented history, high-standard restoration and modification, and remarkable preservation distinguish it as an attractive example of Porsche’s formative sports car. Included with the sale are an ignition key set, factory literature, Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, documentation from new, Coco floor mats, tool kit and jack, and a spare wheel and tire.
