Modified 2009 Harley-Davidson Sportster Iron 883
Presentation
This 2009 Harley-Davidson Sportster Iron 883 is powered by an air-cooled V-twin that has been fitted with a Screamin’ Eagle Pro Sportster “Stage II” 883cc to 1200cc conversion kit, which included big-bore cylinders, 10:1 compression-ratio pistons, revised camshafts, and a handheld tuning module. The black-finished motorcycle has been further modified with a Vance & Hines dual exhaust system, a DK Custom Products tank lift kit, longer fork stanchions, Works Performance drop-in fork cartridges, Öhlins piggyback-reservoir rear shocks, and a Harley-Davidson handlebar, “Daymaker” LED headlight, and mirrors as well as various aftermarket lighting components and Roland Sands Design (RSD) trim parts. The rear wheel is driven via a five-speed transmission and a drive belt, and additional equipment includes electronic fuel injection, a telescopic fork, front and rear disc brakes, cast alloy wheels, and a side stand. This XL883N is offered in Connecticut by the seller on behalf of the owner at no reserve with a seller-supplied modification list, a Carfax report, and a New Jersey title in the owner’s name.
The bodywork is finished in black. Features include a Harley-Davidson “Daymaker” LED headlight assembly, a Roland Sands Design (RSD) seat, and a side stand as well as a DK Custom Products 1.5″ tank lift kit, a DK Custom Products license plate bracket, aftermarket LED turn signals, and various RSD ancillary components. Entries from September 2010 on the Carfax report indicate that the bike was in an accident that resulted in damage to its left side, and it was subsequently declared a total loss by an insurance company.
Cast alloy wheels measuring 19″ up front and 16″ out back were mounted with Harley-Davidson-branded Dunlop tires in May 2024. The telescopic fork has been modified with V-Twin Manufacturing 2″-longer fork stanchions, Works Performance drop-in cartridges with dual-rate springs, and RSD preload adjusters, while a pair of Öhlins piggyback-reservoir shocks is attached to the swingarm. Braking is provided by a single disc at each end, and the brake fluid was flushed in May 2024.
The black-finished Harley-Davidson Sportster Drag handlebar carries Roland Sands Design hand grips and levers as well as dual Harley-Davidson underslung mirrors, and it is mounted aft of a 120-mph speedometer and various warning lamps. The digital odometer indicates 8k miles, approximately 100 of which have been ridden under current ownership.
The air-cooled Sportster Evolution V-twin has been retrofitted with a Screamin’ Eagle Pro Sportster “Stage II” 883cc to 1200cc conversion kit, which included big-bore cylinders, 10:1 compression-ratio pistons, revised camshafts, and a handheld tuning module for the electronic fuel injection system. It has also been fitted with an RSD carbon-fiber air intake and a Vance & Hines Shortshots Staggered dual exhaust system. The fuel system was flushed in May 2024.
Power is routed to the rear wheel through a five-speed transmission and a drive belt.

The rider here, I am 6’4”
I felt very comfortable riding on the back roads and can imagine staying equally comfortable for a distanced ride. What an excellent experience this bike provides, very raw!
Best of luck in the closing moments everyone
Cheers!

I would guess the rider is closer to 5"10". Those 883 frames are pretty small. I'm 6'2" and will look kinda too big for this bike. But I figure the ride from Lakeville to my home on the CT Shore will be the longest ride I'll take on it. Mostly hitting the backroads just like the video, which is what got me to start bidding. We'll see how I do, though I can't imagine this bike for selling for less than 3-4 times my bid.

It should not be an issue importing to Canada, but I’m not familiar with their import regulations, you may want to consult a customs agent.
Thanks

Very cool machine from an exceptional seller. Bid with confidence folks. I have known the owner for years and worked on many of his fascinating motorcycles. He keeps his bikes in top form at a climate controlled facility. You will be quite pleased with this gem.

The work was done after the damage occured.
@efh_73
It currently has a clean NJ title, here is a redacted photo. Note the complete lack of an S brand anywhere on the document, which is what denotes a salvage/rebuilt title.
Thanks!
