Presentation

This four-piece luggage set was produced by Schedoni of Modena for use with a catalyzed Ferrari 328. It was purchased new by the owner alongside a black 1987 Ferrari 328 GTS that the seller is also offering on BaT. The set comprises two long suitcases, a shoe case, and a vanity case. The pieces are constructed of tan leather with brass hardware and beige interior linings, and each bag is adorned with a debossed prancing horse logo. Leather tags and keys are included. This luggage set is offered on behalf of the owner by a BaT Local Partner at no reserve in Gussage All Saints, England.

The soft-sided long suitcases feature twin-loop handles, black YKK zippers, and a leather closure strap with brass hardware. The zippers can be locked with padlocks, and the brass clasps are secured with keys. One of the long cases features an external pouch with dual locking brass closures.

The hard-sided shoe and vanity cases feature hinged handles, metal feet, and locking clasps. The vanity case features an elastic pocket and a leather strap for securing its contents. Due to differences in trunk dimensions, the bags differ in size from those designed for 328s without catalytic converters.

The interior of each case is lined with coated beige cloth, and the soft-sided bags feature interior straps for securing their contents. Interior flaking is documented in the photo gallery.

Thank you for all the interest in the Luggage. This set was purchased brand new by the owner at the time buying his US 1987 328 GTS.
Oct 10, 2026 · 18:37
@PeterPiotrPer
Seller very graciously provided measurements of the bags. Thank you, Seller.
I know for a fact these bags will fit in the deep flat floor rear compartment of my Euro 328. I measured. I also measured the rear compartment of my U.S. 328. The compartment does not have a flat floor and one long bag will sit too high. Go check your 328 to be sure.

Hello @PeterPiotrPer The cases are from the US 328 GTS we have recently listed, so yes they do fit a US 328.
Oct 10, 2026 · 18:28
This is confusing. Does it or does it not fit a US spec 328?
Seems this going round & round without a clear answer.

Hi @Mattyp74 UPS have advised there will be the following:
Disbursement Fee ($17.50 / ~£13.50 minimum per box): UPS will advance the US customs duties on behalf of the buyer to prevent the boxes from getting stuck at the border. They charge a disbursement fee of 2.5% of the total duty advanced, or a flat minimum of $17.50 per package (whichever is greater). Because they are separate shipments, this minimum triggers twice.
International Customs-Clearance Handling Fee ($2.50 per box): A standard administrative surcharge that UPS applies to all incoming international express packages entering the United States.
Residential Delivery Surcharge (Approx. $3.95 per box): If the buyer has the parcels delivered to their home address instead of a commercial business location or workshop, UPS tacks this on per package.

I made a mistake, I apologize, I misspoke. It looks like a four-piece set is correct for 308 and 328 per Alberto's book "Ferrari by Schedoni" page 156
Oct 10, 2026 · 13:38
Five pieces? Are you missing a piece, or am I missing something?
Oct 10, 2026 · 10:58
Five pieces is correct for this set. Plus the dust bags, key wallets, keys For the bags and padlocks, cavalino padlocks and luggage tags for each bag and it's nice to have the shoe polishing fobs those usually come up missing. Not sure how many of the key wallets and keys are supposed to come with this set, too but I think it's two each.

@Sporty1
Your description of the rear compartment of your U.S. 328 is perfect. My U.S. 328 GTS has the identical rear compartment and I do not believe this set would fit as one of the longer bags would sit too high based on the measurements provided by seller.
I also have a Euro 328 GTB and the entire rear compartment floor is deeper and completely flat and I believe this set would fit just fine.

@seller is this a full set or is 6 pieces a full set?

The $400 or soI paid to ship from Europe included handling fees, I did have to pay the tariff to the post office for shipping via USPS, and I had to pay the tariff to FedEx for shipping via FedEx.

Hi @Mattyp74 that would be the collected price in the UK, so no inland courier required. I will need to check with UPS in relation to US handling fees, so will revert back asap.

Does the revised shipping cost of £332 include the UK inland courier and US airport handling fee, or is it just the cost from the UK port to the US port/airport? Thanks.

Oct 7, 2026 · 23:02
For clarification of luggage fitment. I have a USA 1989 328 GTB. The trunk is deeper , vertically top to bottom , towards the engine side of the trunk. Towards the rear of the trunk there is a step of a couple inches so a tall piece of luggage, the same height as the front piece , will not fit. Does this ring true with any other owners?

I have looked into the shipping further and I am pleased to say, I have obtained some more reasonable figures. By sending as two separate packages, it brings the cost down considerably. £332 delivered to the USA with £2,500 of cover, the price excludes any import duty and associated costs. This is based on being packaged in cardboard boxes, allowing for 10cm of protective layering - the packaging can be selected by the winning bidder.

I believe they will, however, I would like to confirm 100%, so please allow me some time to clarify - unless anyone else can in the meantime.
Thank you @Alden856 I have some additional quotes, which I will add shortly.

Will these fit a US version Ferrari 308?
Oct 7, 2026 · 12:47
I don't remember if it was C or air freight. DHL and the British postal service, and also FedEx. I don't recommend DHL. The package arrived in less than optimal condition but the luggage inside was okay. You don't have to crate the luggage. Mine has always been shipped and simply double packed cardboard boxes with lots of bubble wrap around each piece. I think shipping on my sets ran somewhere in the $400 range, import taxes, if I remember correctly we were 10% total or something like that. I have pictures if you'd like to see an example of how I packed and shipped some luggage back to the Netherlands and also to Canada.

So around$1,300 plus import fees for shipping from England??? Am I calculating that correctly? I have to say I have imported three larger Ferrari luggage sets from Europe to the US and shipping cost were nowhere near that!

Hello Everyone,
To provide some clear guidance for international delivery costs to the USA, please see the estimates below based on a professional quote from freight specialist,1st Move International:
UK Packaging & Crate Construction (Required)
• Custom Case Packing: Approx. £280
• The Crate: A custom-built, fully ISPM 15 compliant wooden export crate (legally required for US customs entry). It will be completely lined with high-density foam, heavy-duty bubble wrap, and structural packing material.
• UK Inland Courier: Approx. £80 to transport the luggage from my location to the export packing depot in Grays, Essex.
International Airfreight Rates (To Airport Only)
• New York (JFK): £330 – £390
• Los Angeles (LAX): £350 – £400
• Dallas (DFW): £360 – £410
• Chicago (ORD): £380 – £430
Please note that the airfreight figures above are to the named airport cargo terminal only. The winning bidder if based in The US, should expect and budget for the following additional local destination costs:
• US Airport Handling Fees: Terminal, warehouse, and documentation fees charged by the airline's US cargo hub upon arrival (typically $150 – $300).
• US Customs Clearance: The buyer will need to retain a US Customs Broker to legally clear the entry paperwork (approx. $150 – $200 broker fee).
• US Import Duties/Taxes: While the crate exports from the UK, the luggage is originally manufactured in Italy, which will be declared as the Country of Origin. Under HTS Code 4202.11.00 (Genuine Leather Luggage), Italian-origin goods carry a standard, non-sanctioned general duty rate. The total US Customs bill will be calculated strictly on the final auction hammer price (8% base duty + 0.3464% US Merchandise Processing Fee).
• Final Door Delivery: This is an airport-only quote. The buyer will either need to physically pick up the crate from their local airport cargo facility or arrange a domestic US freight forwarder (with a tail lift truck) to bring it from the airport to their residence.
Any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.

This set is indeed for catalyzed cars. The shoe case lies horizontally and the handles of the two small cases fold on their sides rather than like a pantograph. per 308-328.com
Oct 1, 2026 · 13:06
@Alden856 Over the time, there were several countries including in Europe, where the 328's were to be equipped with cat. : Austria, Sweden, Japan, Australia...
Oct 1, 2026 · 04:42
@Bertrand328: I think the listing was edited: The listing says, ""for use with a catalyzed Ferrari 328" so it is for a US or Swiss market car (I'm surprised) and "flaking is documented in the photo gallery." This flaking is almost 100% in Schedoni luggage of this vintage. Measurements of the tallest bags would allow a bidder to confirm that this set fits their car though.
Sep 30, 2026 · 23:12
IMHO seller should confirm if this set for car with cat or not, and may be show more pictures of the interior which is the point of attention when you looking for there bags

What they mean by different in size for cars built with catalytic converters, means the US cars have a shallower trunk by about 2 or 3 in so this luggage which is made for a European model is taller and won't fit, I found out the hard way trying to find a luggage set for my Ferrari. It seems there are very few sets available that were made for some US Ferrari's of this vintage. GLWTA
