608-Mile, Cobalt Blue Metallic 2023 Porsche 911 Sport Classic
Presentation
This 2023 Porsche is #365 of 1,250 911 Sport Classic examples produced worldwide, all of which link a Turbo-specification twin-turbocharged 3.7L flat-six with a seven-speed manual transaxle and rear-wheel drive. This example is finished in paint-to-sample Cobalt Blue Metallic over Classic Cognac leather and Pepita cloth upholstery, and equipment includes LED-Matrix Design headlights with PDLS+, Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes, 20″ and 21″ Sport Classic wheels, a front-axle lift system, Power Steering Plus, Lane Change Assist, heated 18-way adaptive Sport Plus front seats, Paldao wood interior trim, a High-End Burmester sound system, and Porsche Communication Management with navigation. Acquired by the owner in 2026, this 992.1 Sport Classic has 608 miles and is now offered on dealer consignment in Florida with a window sticker, the owner’s manual, two keys, a clean Carfax report, and a Montana title.
The 911 Sport Classic is based on the 911 Turbo S and pays tribute to the 911 Carrera RS 2.7 from the 1970s with its distinctive ducktail spoiler as well as retro design elements including Fuchs-style alloy wheels and gold badging. This example is finished in paint-to-sample Cobalt Blue Metallic and has a carbon-fiber roof with a double-bubble, LED-Matrix Design headlights with PDLS+, fog lights, a Porsche Heritage rear grille badge, and front and rear parking sensors. The side decals have been removed, and paint protection film has reportedly been applied to the body.
The 20″ and 21″ Sport Classic wheels are mounted with Pirelli tires. Stopping power is provided by Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB) with black-finished multi-piston calipers. The car is equipped with a front-axle lift system, Power Steering Plus, Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (PDCC), Porsche Active Suspension Management, and rear-axle steering.
The heated 18-way adaptive Sport Plus front seats are trimmed in Classic Cognac leather with Pepita cloth inserts and Porsche crests on the headrests. Paldao wood trim accents the cabin, and additional appointments include carbon-fiber floor mats, aluminum pedals, puddle light projectors, Lane Change Assist, lightweight and noise-insulated glass, a High-End Burmester sound system, cruise control, dual-zone automatic climate control, ambient lighting, and PCM with navigation.
A plaque mounted on the dashboard denotes this example as #365 of 1,250 units produced.
The GT Sport steering wheel is trimmed in black leather. Instrumentation includes a central tachometer flanked by configurable TFT displays. A stopwatch is mounted atop the dashboard. The digital odometer indicates 608 miles.

One protects inventory by having good product, not bidding bad one. That is a fools errand. In this case we have good product. So probably bidding cause he sees value still.

It's 1,250 units made for the world, with about 400 units making it to the US, and it's finished in Cobalt Blue, a paint-to-sample color that adds to its rarity.

The Sport Classic is an amazing car and by far the best iteration of the 992. Is it the fastest? No. If you’re chasing lap times, buy a 3RS. The S/C is the ultimate on-road driver’s car. It does everything effortlessly and comfortably. The car truly feels like an extension of the driver. I criticize modern Porsches for being too clinical, but the SC is the opposite.
If Porsche built a production 2wd (actual)-Turbo with 3-pedals en masse, they would have lines around the block at every dealer and sell EVERY one. The fact that they don’t, is why this car is currently trading at 2x its MSRP.

Photo Six looks the best. Very weird color. It looks so, like reflective but unnatural, but that just shows how it’s a wonderful color.

If this is due to Porsche's ridiculous "electric policy" - hopefully they will no go bankrupt- this car is buy and hold and does better than the stock market, so great call ...
Oct 14, 2026 · 01:48
@1porsche_geek interestingly mint green and ruby red were standard colors on the 964 and are at least as rare. I don't think it was the price as the argument. Dealers in the US pre-ordered cars to have them on the lot and that resulted in mainstream colors red, black and white being most prominent. Cobalt blue is very nice though

Pretty amazing fight .... quite an investment it it's going to more than double in prize in 3 years ... not sure what makes it so special to deserve such appreciation but it must have something... Best of luck to the bidders ...

@styve Wonderful taste in the Sport Classic, especially in Cobalt Blue Metallic. Cobalt Blue Metallic is an intense version of a light, metallic blue tone that develops an electrifying luminosity through its shiny shimmer. The color was introduced as a 1991 964 color.
It was often classified as a Special Order Color (Code 37U), meaning it carried a premium price when new and was less frequently selected than the "Standard" palette.
Cobalt Blue Metallic is generally considered a rare and highly desirable color. While exact total production numbers by color are often difficult to pinpoint, enthusiast data and registry records confirm its scarcity compared to standard colors like Guards Red or Grand Prix White.
Cobalt Blue Metallic is rated a super rare 4/5 paint cans on Rennbow. Good luck to the seller and to @styve ! Hope you finally get what you were looking for!

Thomas here with Porsche Fort Myers. It's great to see the early action on this beautiful Sport Classic, and thank you to everyone who has submitted a bid so far. As the second of Porsche's four Heritage Design models and limited to 1,250 units worldwide, the Sport Classic is the only way to get the Turbo's engine with a manual gearbox and rear-wheel drive. Within that limited run, this one is finished in Paint to Sample Cobalt Blue Metallic, believed to be the only Sport Classic in this color in North America, and it has just 608 miles on the odometer. It will be sold as a Porsche Approved Certified Pre-Owned car with warranty coverage through June 2029. As part of the certification process, it received an intermediate service, a new battery, and new spark plugs. Happy to help with any questions along the way. It's an honor to be a part of this auction with you all, and I look forward to placing this Porsche in someone's collection soon.

We didn't remove the start number decals. The start number was 58, and the previous owner (our client) removed it. I don't have a photo with the start number, but if the decal set is important to you, we can always order it through our parts department.
