Offered from the final years of the hand-built W463 “Classic” era, this 2017 Mercedes-AMG G65 represents the apex of Mercedes’ original Geländewagen formula, combining the model’s famously durable ladder-frame construction and three locking differentials with AMG’s most charismatic powerplant. The G-Class traces its roots to the late-1970s military/utility program that evolved into one of the longest-running luxury 4x4 lines in production, and the G65 sits at the very top of that lineage as the rare V12 flagship built in limited numbers for a short run. This example shows 58,000 miles and, according to the selling dealer, was originally ordered as a personal vehicle for a family associated with a Mercedes-Benz dealership in the Southeastern US before later ownership beginning in 2020 (at approximately 23,000 miles), with accompanying service documentation from that most recent owner.
Power comes from AMG’s M279 6.0-liter twin-turbocharged V12 (factory-rated at 621 hp and 738 lb-ft of torque), paired with the AMG SPEEDSHIFT PLUS 7G-TRONIC automatic transmission and 4MATIC all-wheel drive. True to the G’s off-road architecture, it retains a low-range transfer case and three driver-selectable differential locks, while also offering modern road-going assistance features including DISTRONIC, PARKTRONIC with Parking Assist, Blind Spot Assist, and a rear-view camera.
