2006 BMW HP2 Enduro
Presentation
This 2006 BMW HP2 Enduro was purchased new in the Philippines by its previous owner who brought it to the United Kingdom where it was later purchased by the seller in 2011. The motorbike is finished in gray and blue and is powered by a 1,170cc opposed-twin linked with a six-speed transmission and an enclosed driveshaft. It has been fitted with 21″ front and 17″ rear alloy rims, an Akrapovic exhaust system, a luggage rack, a 150-mph speedometer dial, and cylinder-head guards, and additional equipment includes hand guards, a skid plate, an inverted fork, a dry clutch, electronic fuel injection, and a side stand. This HP2 Enduro is now offered in the United Kingdom with UK registration in the seller’s name.
The bike wears gray and blue bodywork mounted over a blue tubular-steel frame, and it features engine guards, a skid plate, and a luggage rack. Additional details include a round headlight, a two-up seat, and a side stand. The seller notes a crack in the plastic front fender and rust on some of the hardware.
The bike was fitted with 21″ front and 17″ rear alloy rims in November 2025, and the front Pirelli Scorpion tire was replaced at that time. The rear tire shows a 2022 production date code. Adjustable suspension consists of a WP Suspension 45mm inverted fork as well as a Continental air-damped monoshock mounted to the single-sided aluminum swingarm. Braking is handled by single discs with two-piston calipers at each end. Additional work in November 2025 included adjusting the steering headstock, rebuilding the fork, and replacing the front wheel bearings and front brake pads.
The aluminum handlebar carries hand guards and dual mirrors, and it fronts a dash panel that houses a replacement white-dial 150-mph speedometer, a row of indicator lights, and a multifunction LCD screen with readouts for gear position, time, and engine temperature. The digital odometer indicates 16k miles, 4k of which have been ridden under current ownership.
The 1,170cc opposed twin features BMS-K engine management, a two-into-one Akrapovic exhaust system, and electronic fuel injection, and it was factory rated at 105 horsepower.

Thanks @Wingnut61. The forks are to the best of my knowledge original.

@joyrider564 Based on my experience switching it from UK to France and then back to UK, I believe it is a simple paperwork exercise with perhaps a local inspection as well. I have the Certificate of Conformity (issued in Germany); the only changes to the machine would be to replace MPH Speedo fascia with a KPH and switch the LCD display as well. Possibly a headlight adjustment to reflect left-hand vs right-hand driving.

How difficult would it be to register this in Germany?

@NickVergara The new wheels use tubes I believe, I will confirm. Your other questions are covered in my long comment below. Cheers.

Those are not the original wheels or woody's? What kind of rims are those chrome rims? Are they tubeless? Are the original rims included or where they bend on proper off roading ? Does the bike comes with the Supermoto black rims too?

A must for any serious GS collection. This one has a bit of drama and lives in another Country.

Hi @SnowDog - 16,000 miles, but same point. The bike is 20 years old and I noticed that some of the seals and rubber were perishing, as will happen at that age. I was not planning to sell it then and asked the garage to give it a VERY thorough going over and various rubber and seals did indeed need replacing. Bearings they just told me needed replacing; I'm not aware of any unusual reason behind it.

Welcome to the auction of my HP2 Enduro. This is a two owner machine; the original owner was a Brit who bought it in the Philippines and imported it to the UK. I bought it from him here in the UK in 2012. The bike moved with me to - and was registered in - France for several years but I brought it back to the UK in 2024 and it is now registered here. The HP2 is an awesome machine, an off-road monster equally at home on the road, providing super power and manoeuvrability with good height, visibility and poise. This is an excellent low mileage example in very nice cosmetic and great mechanical condition after a major service late last year (zero miles since), details of which are included in the pictures. It has lived a nice life with some good off-road use on Côte d'Azur fire roads and the like and otherwise used as an extremely capable on-road bike. I want to clarify and expand on a few items from the description. If you examine the service records, you will see a jump in 'mileage' for the first European (Monaco) service and a drop for the most recent UK service. This simply reflects that when the bike went to France the LCD odometer was switched from miles to kilometres, and when I re-imported it to the UK it was switched back from kilometres to miles. The wheels (rims) are brand new. The 2013 MOT certificate records that the front wheel had a slight distortion on the bead rim; with time and use the distortion grew worse and the wheel needed replacement. Unfortunately BMW does not supply replacement wheels so I had the wheel rebuilt with new rims on the stock hub. I did both wheels so that they would match. The description above refers to 'rust on some of the hardware". In reality that is a bit of superficial rust on the two screws attached to the nose beak, as pictured. The bike is clean. As described and pictured, there is a crack in the plastic on top of the beak; this occurred when a scooter parked too close to me in a Monaco motorcycle parking bay and a bar end hit the beak. Finally, the wheels are the off-road set, with mixed-use tyres mounted. Unfortunately due to an unfortunate series of circumstances I no longer have the super-motard road wheels; fortunately the current wheels are great on-road and off. Happy to answer any other questions so far as I am able.

Nice looking HP2E. Should be interesting to watch this auction. My only question is why were the final drive seal, driveshaft gaiters, and roller bearings replaced after only 16,000 KM?
