1967 Jaguar XKE Series I 4.2 Roadster Roadster
Presentation
Purchased new by Eugene A. Casaroll of Michigan, founder of the Dual Ghia Motor Car Company, this 1967 Jaguar XKE Series I 4.2 Roadster arrives as a numbers-matching design icon with impressive pedigree and upkeep. Finished in classic Opalescent Silver Grey over Dark Blue leather with a black convertible top, its 4.2-liter inline-six engine pairs with a four-speed manual transmission to drive the rear wheels. Signature Series I details include covered headlights, four-wheel disc brakes, 15-inch knock-off wire wheels, Smiths instrumentation, a wood-rim steering wheel, and its original, Motorola AM/FM radio.
Extensive refurbishment has been entrusted to respected Jaguar specialists. Jim Bryhan’s Body and Paint Specialists completed a glass-out, bare-metal respray, while Northshore Sportscars retrimmed the cabin to its original specifications. A new Haartz canvas top, refinished top frame and steering wheel, new cabin glass, dash, carpeting, door cards, and visors lend time-capsule touchpoints. Kats British Car Service subsequently carried out comprehensive mechanical and cosmetic work, including removal and servicing of the engine, carburetor and water-pump rebuilds, a rebuilt rear axle and suspension assembly, renewed Girling rear brakes, replated exhaust manifolds, a stainless-steel exhaust, new fuel tank, correct Dayton wire wheels, Vredestein tires, and extensive renewal of the braking, steering, cooling, and suspension systems.
Sympathetic performance upgrades aimed at improved drivability include a Pertronix high-torque starter, Wilwood front brake calipers with drilled and slotted rotors, a high-capacity aluminum radiator and cooling fan, and a spin-on oil-filter conversion. A recent tune-up and alignment further prepare the car for use and accompanying records document extensive care invested. Accompanying items include an ignition key set, Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust Certificate, restoration and service records, a knock-off wheel block, spare wheel and tire, spare braking and trim components, and a convertible top boot/tonneau cover.

The car comes with a canvas top cover for when the convertible top is down. A picture of that is now in the gallery.

We have added some more pictures to the gallery here. One of them is the ad from when Hyman LTD. sold the car to the current owner, Gary Irish, who has owned and restored 5 E types over the last 50 years. Mark Hyman was a well known expert in these cars and bought this car from the original owner's son. He advertised the car as an actual mileage car with mileage in the mid 30's, as it still sits close to that now, this car is believed to be actual mileage and is a documented 3 owner car. There is documentation of this in the files that come with the car. Another picture that has been uploaded is of the extensive documentation that comes with the car, the white 3 ring binder is a couple inches thick.

Hi All, we are going to start posting some additional information on this stunning Jag as many of the important details are not noted in the listing. The first comment I will make is that if you look at the pictures of the small imperfections, we have uploaded a new picture next to the closeup. So each imperfection now has two pictures, one that is a closeup and one that is taken from a foot or two back to give context of where it is and how much it can really be seen standing next to the car, as they are all minor.
