This 2012 McLaren MP4-12C has 4,500 miles and has been fitted with Revozport front and rear bumper covers in addition to an AWE Tuning exhaust system and 20″ COR forged alloy wheels. It is powered by a twin-turbocharged 3.8-liter V8 paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transaxle and is finished in McLaren Orange over Carbon Black leather and Alcantara. The car is further equipped with bi-xenon headlights, an active rear spoiler, dihedral doors, ProActive Chassis Control, Launch Control, heated power-adjustable seats, a Premium Meridian surround sound system, and a touchscreen infotainment system. This MP4-12C was purchased by the owner in 2016 and is now offered on dealer consignment by the selling dealer, a BaT Local Partner, with a window sticker, the owner’s manual, partial service records, an accident-free Carfax report, and a clean Georgia title.

The car is finished in McLaren Orange and features an F1-style one-piece molded carbon-fiber tub, plastic composite body panels, and carbon-fiber components consisting of an active rear spoiler, front splitter, rear diffuser, exhaust finishers, and front bumper cover inserts. Revozport front and rear bumper covers have been fitted, and additional details include bi-xenon headlights, dihedral doors, a single pantograph windshield wiper, heated power-adjustable side mirrors, and dual exhaust outlets. Paint protection film has reportedly been applied to the front end, and the headlight lenses have imperfections.

The 20″ COR forged multi-spoke wheels wear Michelin tires that were mounted in August 2026. Stopping power is provided by McLaren Orange-finished calipers over cross-drilled rotors. The car is equipped with Launch Control and Electronic Stability Control (ESC), which includes Winter, Normal, Sport, and Track modes. McLaren’s ProActive Chassis Control system provides adjustable ride and suspension settings.

The heated power-adjustable seats are upholstered in Carbon Black leather and Alcantara, while carbon-fiber trim accents the cabin. Appointments include dual-zone automatic climate control, a Premium Meridian surround sound system, and a touchscreen infotainment system.

The leather-wrapped steering wheel features carbon-fiber trim and carries a pair of paddle shifters. It fronts a central tachometer with an 8,500-rpm redline and an inset digital speedometer, along with dual multifunction screens. The digital odometer indicates 4,500 miles, approximately 1k of which were added under current ownership.

The carbon-fiber-trimmed engine bay houses a twin-turbocharged 3.8-liter V8, which features a flat-plane crankshaft and dry-sump lubrication. Factory-rated output was 593 horsepower and 445 lb-ft of torque. An oil change was performed in August 2026.

This has been fantastic.. low mile super clean cool spec. Nice bumper mods help this value not hurt it like it would in ferrari market. I am sure they weren't cheap.

I think in the not so distant future, with Mclaren going hybrid, these will be much more sought after. Only about 3,000 12c's were made.. cool car. buyer will enjoy.

The 458 wasn’t as fast but was deemed to have more soul and n/a engine. Fundamentally that McLaren was way faster and with tunes it’s almost as fast as a 720s

The 458 and 12C are very different. The latter might have more technology and advanced materials. The former has a NA engine with a sound that is out of this world.

In 2014, if you wanted a supercar and had about $300,000 to spend, you could pick a McLaren 12C or a Ferrari 458. Can someone please explain to me why the Ferrari is still $300,000 and these are now about $100,000? It's not like the Ferrari is cheap to maintain.

Have had multiple friends in the Bay Area with one, tracked them a lot, tuned them 0 and I mean zero issues. The horror stories are like bad yelp reviews for a 5 star hotels. They do exist true but that’s not the general consensus

@ChuckD1 Thank you for your comment and we can understand that. It is an important point that this car for not just sit. The owner lives in a beautiful part of Georgia with some amazing mountain roads. He doesn’t have to drive far to get a great experience. He would drive it regularly enough to where the car would get some good exercise.
Also, all 4 actuators were don’t last year.

damn, this is about 6 months too early for me. sighhhh. but this is a very great example. I'm worried about the 4500 miles put on in 13 years though. is this not a cause for concern with the seals? Ive heard horror stories about the accumulators, and transmission seals leaking due to sitting. but this is the internet. and no one ever posts the good things really.

Summer of 2016 I flew to Denver and rented a 2012 MP4-12C in this same exact color! It was one of the greatest cars I have ever driven and I still think about it to this day. The shifts are so quick and it feels like you're in a mini space ship. Such an amazing car.

Honestly it sounds terrible. Almost like a V8 Mustang. I have F1 exhaust on my V10 R8 and it sounds much better. It may be this exhaust on this car. Sorry. Gorgeous looking car though. Exhaust situation can be resolved easily. Very low mileage car. GLWS.

About $8-10,000 with parts and labor. Also if you don’t change it preemptively they have been know to do additional damage upon failure.

This repair (DLD) seems to be very labor intensive and almost certain to be needed on all early Mclarens. So what is the cost to replace the DLD in this car. Anybody have any experience on this ?

@DPeezie Thank you for the follow up questions. We want to make sure we get everyone the information they need to be confident in bidding.
1. You are correct that the link I sent wasn’t the most informative as far as cat situation. The car has 200 cell high flow cats. Let me see if I can get some more information on them to see if they are CARB approved cats that will pass CA emissions.
2. I believe the white on the wheels is the gunk from when they put the new tires on. I thought we cleaned it all off but may have missed a few spots. I’ll go to the office tomorrow and take a closer look. I’ll follow up with photos of the wheels and PPF areas that are lifting.
3. I spoke with the owner after the DLD comment. When doing the large service, he had a conversation with McMedics about the DLD issue. While it is true that the DLD is not an if but when, our owner was advised that the car is displaying no symptoms and that the vast majority of the cars they see the issues on have higher mileage. Because if that and knowing we does not drive the car much, they decided not to do them.

Noticed the headlights seals are starting to go and there is a little cloudiness in them. Common issue with these and expensive to replace. Can you take a picture of them up close?

1) I'm still trying to figure out the exhaust set up. Understand the AWE exhaust that you sent over is 50 state compliant, but the cats.. stock vs AWE performance cats. Aftermarket cats aren't CA compliant according to my smog guy but the AWE exhaust alone is. The link to the exhaust you sent was just for the exhaust but not the cats. Just want confirmation that the car the way it sits is CA compliant.
2) it looks from a few pics that the rims have some small chips around the edges that show silver. Is that just the pic or do a few of the wheels chipped? Appreciate the response. You've represented the car extremely well.. just was to know all the blemishes before bidding. you mind doing a quick vid/photos of the small imperfections? close up of the peeling ppf, etc?
3) To mirror the below question, the DLD was mentioned by the owner as a reason it was in for service...is it rattling and did McMedics comment on it at all? Wondering if there was a third page of that invoice mentioning the DLD and its condition as its a high ticket fix.

I see in the invoice at Supercar Garage DLD is listed in the customer concerns but did not appear to be addressed. Kevin (the mechanic) has told me that DLD is not an IF but a WHEN. Do you know why it was not addressed at that point? Had it been fixed under prior ownership?

@Realdeal888 Thank you for your question - The front bumper is an aftermarket full carbon fiber bumper and was painted to match the car with the McLaren Orange paint code, because it is a different material than the rest of the body panels, it shows a bit darker.

Here is the record from the service in 2025 where the car received an annual oil service, all four suspension accumulators were replaced, code body controller for lead acid battery, timing cover seal, and upgrade all 14 coolant clamps.

Welcome to the auction of this 4,500 mile 2012 McLaren MP4-12C finished in McLaren Orange over black interior. With an MSRP of $272,000, this car is very well equipped both inside and out. On the exterior you start with the Special Paint McLaren Orange. The engine bay is equipped with carbon fiber sides and engine cover. The stealth pack helps break up the orange color on the outside of the car. The roof and intakes have been painted matte black to give this MP4-12C and additional stealthy look. The front of the car is protected with PPF. The interior is in immaculate condition and is extremely well equipped with the carbon fiber interior package, upgraded alcantara and leather interior, carbon side sills, and Meridian sound system. This 12C has been well taken car of which including a major service April 2025 and a service with new tires September 2026. @a95 @Extra300L Thank you for your questions. The car is not tuned. It has an AWE exhaust system as well as a Renzsport front bumper and carbon defuser. The car is also equipped with CoR forged wheels. No paintwork other than the bumper to match the body.
