45-Years-Owned, 427-Powered 1967 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible 4-Speed
Presentation
This 1967 Chevrolet Corvette convertible is said to have remained with a single owner from 1967 until being purchased by the seller in 1981. It is finished in silver over black vinyl upholstery and is powered by a 427ci V8 paired with a four-speed manual transmission. Features include a removable hardtop, a black convertible soft top, 15″ Rally wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, a cabin heater, an AM/FM radio, chrome bumpers, and retractable headlights. This C2 is now offered with the owner’s manual, service records, spare parts, a car cover, and a clean Idaho title in the seller’s name.
The fiberglass body was finished from the factory in Silver Pearl and it was repainted in 1985. The headlight actuator was replaced in 2007 and the convertible top frame and weatherstripping was replaced in 2010. Features include a removable hardtop, a black convertible soft top, a stinger hood, retractable headlights, chrome split bumperettes, fender vents, a driver-side mirror, and dual rear-exit exhaust tips.
The 15″ Rally wheels wear chrome trim rings and center caps and are mounted with 225/60R Cooper tires. The car features a fully independent suspension, with upper and lower control arms at the front and a three-link setup with a transverse leaf spring at the rear. Braking is handled by four-wheel discs. The brake system was replaced in 2006 along with the rear trailing arms, front coil springs, and lower control arm shafts.
The reupholstered cabin features two bucket seats upholstered in black vinyl as well as color-coordinated door panels and carpets. Amenities include a heater, a vertical push-button AM/FM radio, an analog clock, and lap belts. The weatherstripping, visors, carpet, door panels, dash assembly, heater and blower motors, clock, and knobs were replaced. The seller notes that the chrome seat brackets are rusty.
The three-spoke wood-rimmed steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 6k-rpm redline, and auxiliary gauges for fuel level, amperage, oil pressure, and coolant temperature. The five-digit odometer was replaced in 2007 and is not functioning.
The car is equipped with a 427ci V8 that features chrome covers and a chrome alternator, and the seller notes that the car utilized a different engine from 2006 until 2017. The carburetor was resealed and the valve cover gaskets were replaced in 2026. The seller states that the car’s engine block stamping pad does not have any numbers and that the valvetrain is noisy.

Hi Kevin, the car was sold to us as a L36, 427ci, 390 hp. I never looked at it over the 45 years we had it. In fact, we only found out recently that it was not numbers matching. I appreciate the feedback.

The front fenders were never cut; in fact, the body is as it was when we bought it in 1981. We lived near Oakland, Ca so the Black & Silver matched our team colors.

Several Awesome colors available for '67, but I think the silver with a black stinger looks the most sinister 💪

I'm curious as to how you came to that conclusion.

No to concern about motor swaps. Is it a 67 427? Given the fact that it was a higher horse power Big block car , was the nose changed on this car?

So is the 427 the third power plant run in this C2? Could you please provide further detail on the multi engine provenance, including the current engine source/history/installed mileage? Thank you.

Hello to all of the Corvette fans. We bought this beautiful C2 Corvette in 1981 for our 15th wedding anniversary, but after 45 years, it is time to say goodbye to this special car. This is a California car that has been in the garage all of the time. There are maintenance records that you will see we have treated her well. The last service record was in August of 2026 which was a Pre-Purchase Inspection to prepare the car for sale. You will be able to see what was done and items that need to be done. We look forward to answering your questions.
