2016 McLaren 650S GT3 Race Car
Presentation
Built around McLaren's carbon fiber MonoCell chassis, the 650S GT3's lightweight carbon-fiber bodywork incorporates a prominent front splitter, enlarged cooling openings, re-profiled side intakes, an aggressive rear diffuser, and a fixed carbon-fiber rear wing. Following its arrival in the United States, this example received a custom three-stage Sikkens paint finish, which was subsequently protected with full-body paint protection film and a ceramic coating. It rides on forged 18” center-lock aluminum racing wheels fitted with recently replaced Pirelli P Zero tires. The seller states that the car has never been entered in a race, crashed, or experienced an off-track excursion. Detailed images are provided in the gallery.
Protected by an FIA-approved roll cage, the race-focused cockpit is equipped with a competition seat and 6-point cam-lock harness, an F1-inspired multifunction steering wheel, a carbon-fiber dashboard and center console with a touch-control switch panel, adjustable pedals, driver ventilation, a fire-suppression system, fabric door pulls, and dedicated motorsport instrumentation and switchgear.
Power is supplied by a race-prepared version of McLaren’s M838T 3.8-liter twin-turbocharged V8. Regulated to approximately 493 HP in contemporary GT3 specification, the engine is managed by a McLaren ECU and sends power to the rear wheels through a 6-speed sequential racing transmission. Compared with its 12C GT3 predecessor, McLaren revised the suspension geometry and widened the track by 52 mm to improve front-end grip and drivability. The competition braking system features 6-piston front and 4-piston rear monobloc calipers with ventilated discs. An integrated air jack system provides quick and easy jacking for trackside tire changes. According to the seller, this example has been operated and maintained by a professional race preparation shop throughout its time in the United States, with service performed according to a track-oriented maintenance schedule. Engine oil and transmission fluid are said to have been replaced approximately every other track day, while brake pads, rotors, and other consumables have been renewed as required. The braking components are described as recent, and all fluids are said to have been changed recently.
This McLaren is offered with a bill of sale, an air jack tool, a wheel lock tool, and assorted spare parts.
The seller would like you to know: "This is one of 24 or so original factory race cars from McLaren of this generation (2014-216), and unlike the vast majority of those cars, this has never been raced. It's also never been crashed or even gone off the track. This car has just been used for weekend club events. It has been strictly maintained to factory spec with regard to fluids and wear items. It has low hours and usage and is ready to go."

Notes on maintenance and other misc items:
Fluids (oil, and filter, brake flush) every 3rd track day. Gearbox fluid every 6th track day (or approx once a season)
Pads and rotors were replaced approx 2k kilometers ago. Car includes the air lance for the air jack system and the wheel lock tool. There is also a second set of wheels that will go with the car if we get to target on this. The car had a cool suit installed at one point. It’s been removed but the car is still wired for it. So it would be fairly easy to add back. Same goes for the track radio.

Welcome to the auction for this factory McLaren race car... that has never been raced. This was a backup car for McLaren track day clients in the UK before it was acquired and shipped to the US with roughly 150KM's on it. Prior to that voyage it received a full refresh from McLaren Racing. As mentioned, once in the US it received a very high end custom paint job, full car PPF and ceramic coating. The car has only participated in club events and has never been raced. I will work with the seller over the next few days to get more info from the car's ECU such as hours. I will also work to better recap maintenance schedules and maintenance history on the car. It has been maintained and operated by a pro race prep shop since it entered the US. Any questions on this car, get them in and we will do our best to address them. Thanks!
