47k-Kilometer 2007 Porsche 911 GT3

This 2007 Porsche 911 GT3 is finished in Carrara White over black leather and Alcantara with red accents, and it was optioned with the Sport Chrono Package, xenon headlights, and Guards Red seatbelts. Its 3.6-liter flat-six is paired with a six-speed manual transaxle, which was rebuilt in 2025. It also features a limited-slip differential, lightweight 19″ wheels, an adjustable rear wing, and Fabspeed mufflers for its valved exhaust system. The car has been registered in Canada since new, and it has 47k kilometers (~29k miles). This 997.1 GT3 is offered by the selling dealer in Canada with manufacturer’s literature, a build sheet, service records, clean Carfax reports, and British Columbia registration.
The 997.1 GT3 is distinguished from contemporary 911 Carrera models by its aluminum front trunk lid and doors, more aggressive front and rear fascias, an adjustable rear wing, and center-exit exhaust outlets. This one is finished in Carrara White (B9A), and it has xenon headlights, headlamp washers, and LED taillights. Riveted mesh grilles are also noted up front, and paint protection film is applied on forward surfaces. Front hood struts were replaced in January 2025.
The GT3 was equipped at the factory with Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) featuring adjustable coilovers. Braking is handled by six-piston front and four-piston rear calipers over 13.8″ rotors, and the brake fluid was flushed in June 2023. The 19″ wheels are mounted with General G-Max RS tires.
The sport seats are upholstered in black leather and Alcantara with red stitching, and the cabin has Guards Red seatbelts, aftermarket pedals, an Alcantara headliner, a sunroof, automatic climate control, a four-speaker sound system, and a black-dial chronometer on the dashboard. The Sport Chrono Package also added a push-button Sport mode, which adjusts the car’s throttle mapping, damping, and exhaust valves. Seatbelt bolts were serviced in June 2023.
The Alcantara-wrapped steering wheel frames a central GT3-branded tachometer flanked by a 350-km/h speedometer and gauges for coolant temperature, oil temperature, oil pressure, and fuel level. The digital odometer indicates 47k kilometers (~29k miles).
Factory rated at 415 horsepower and 300 lb-ft of torque, the 3.6-liter Mezger flat-six is equipped with VarioCam variable valve timing, titanium connecting rods, and dry-sump lubrication. An engine overspeed up to Range Five was logged in June 2023. In January 2025, the rear main seal, oil-cooler breather hose, alternator belt, and coolant expansion tank were replaced, and coolant pipes were pinned with stainless-steel fittings. An oil change was completed in July 2026. The selling dealer reports some smoke following cold starts.

@davidbradley69 Appreciate the comment! To clarify: the silver rims are the ones that come with the car the previous owner probably changed the wheel rims rather than the body colour rims. Regarding the build sheet, it lists Guards Red seatbelts rather than red deviated stitching. Lastly, yes, the pedals are aftermarket items. Thanks for asking!

I have no skin in this game one or the other on the car other than seeing how a few of these Canadian auctions have played out.
You’ll see the usual dealers come in a bit the car either here or post auction if RNM, bring the car state side, get everything addressed and add in a nice profit margin and sell it.
If you have the means and are willing to take the risk, it makes sense. Otherwise, if you’re looking for a perfect example stateside, expect to pay a significant premium.

Lots of comments from the peanut gallery here... A transmission refresh is not very uncommon( 50% of my friends cars) I'm at ~68k miles without my box needing to be opened up but it's in the mental piggy bank... So its a plus in my view or anyone that owns one of these cars. They are 20 y/o cars now, many have been driven as intended earlier in their life.... DME is a non-issue too. Plenty of time elapsed.
If you want a perfect car to park and hide away for your grandkids one day, probably not the one. They're incredibly robust. Drive em.

@davidbradley69 I am grateful to see that qualified quality mods, rebuilds of 997 GT3s are starting to be recognized in recent sale prices. I am an original owner of a 997.1 GT3 with about the same miles as this one, albeit better treated. But please be careful with this one, get all the info. Cheers!

@Chiclayo, well said. At my current bid, I am happy to own the car and fix it, but might need a bit more interest from the seller than is currently being shown, just to deal with the export process. All that said, if the seller chose to address things like what is known about the transmission rebuild, not the original seats in the car, not the original rims, fire extinguisher in build sheet missing, driver seat bolster wear and post paint meter readings etc. the car could potentially sell for proper money. I would also like to ask for an explanation on the carpeting repairs in the back of the car, was that needed after the removal of a roll-cage? Does the car have both keys and is the build sticker on the first page of the Maintenance Book? I am a serious buyer and these are normal diligence questions. Thanks, David

a transmission rebuild with 30K miles is not normal for the GT3 since it has a very robust transmission, but done properly, no big deal. I suspect it goes hand in hand with the over rev. a driver not really knowing how to drive it. I also suspect the car was driven with road salt on the pavement. IS there a carfax type of report? were panels replaced? With current selling prices for 997 GT3s many of the fixes would pay for themselves. And why not a true cold start with video on exhaust at same time? This car has made it across Canada , Lauzon Porsche, one the repair sheets, is in Montreal. How many owners since new?

Some of you guys have really lost touch with what a 20 year old car looks like. The wheel bolts would have been an easy fix, but the rest of it looks pretty normal to me. Transmission work before 30k is somewhat normal on these, and the smoke is very normal. The pedals, do look aftermarket, as well as the rear toe links and the front caster blocks in the front control arms. Not a huge fan of the “riveted grills”, but if this car has no ill effects from the over rev it looks like a pretty solid 997. It’s a shame that range 5 is on there because there’s always a stigma, but that looks like a lot of hours ago. I would let it park next to my .2 with no complaints.

either seller is trying to hide stuff or not trying to get top dollar, underside looks pretty clean though. Saw some rusty bits, lug nuts, rear bumper attachment screws rusted, considering what this car would be worth mint, makes little sense not to take care of it. Look at the drivers seat bolster, ouch.

@510-997 yeah that video definitely wasn't a true cold start, 99.9% certain it had been running not long before the video. My 997 GT3 takes a minute for the water temp to start moving, and several minutes before the oil temp needle moves. In the video both oil and water temp needles move right on startup.

A little smoke on startup is just a reminder that you're about to go drive a Mezger powered GT car. I do find it kind of funny that the cold start video shows the coolant temperature gauge right in the middle, after touching some of the coolest parts of the engine. I'm sure it's fine. These are fantastic cars, someone will be happy with this one, I know I would!

saw that this car has smokey exhaust, could be a quite simple fix, Air Oil Separator , and even just perhaps , its seal. Air Oil Separator Seal is about $2 , pelican parts plus labor.

Looking at the build sheet, I am a bit confused. Shouldn’t this car have exterior color rims, and centers? That would be matching white wheels if I’m reading correctly. Then, why in the build sheet am I not seeing the red deviated stitching? The wear on the bolster on the driver’s side looks a lot worse than I would expect of a looks a lot worse than I would expect of a 29,000 mile car? Also, looks to me like the pedals are aftermarket?

I believe that this car will be subject to a 10% import tariff into the USA. Importation is not easy, requiring the use of a registered agent. It can be speeded up with a certificate from PCA certifying that the car was built to US EPA and DOT standards, but I’m hearing that PCA has become increasingly reluctant to issue these letters.
I have imported cars from Europe and I have imported one from Canada. When they are less than 25 years old, it’s not easy, but it certainly can be done.

Startup smoke on mezger-engined GT3's is very normal. I've owned several, and all of them have done it, and all of the ones that are around me locally, also do it. Freaked me out the first time too. Did a lot of digging, and even called up a couple of local shops and everyone confirmed its normal and is caused by the internal architecture of the engine. Long and technical story short, when the engine is shut off, small amounts of oil can slowly make their way back into the combustion chamber, and it gets blown off when you turn the car on again. This happens more often when the engine is still warm, but can happen on cold start too. This also can happen when parked on a slope. Over the years, I've learned that the best trick to prevent it from happening is letting the car idle 60-90 seconds before you turn it off after driving. It seems to let everything settle, and now it seems to never happen for me.
