1958 Porsche 356A Cabriolet

This 1958 Porsche 356A is a Reutter-bodied cabriolet that has been refinished in Fjord Green over tan leather upholstery and is powered by a replacement 1,750cc flat-four paired with a four-speed manual transaxle. Features include a tan convertible top, a luggage rack, 15″ steel wheels with polished hubcaps, lap belts, and a Blaupunkt AM/FM radio. The car underwent a cosmetic refurbishment in 1987 and was acquired by the selling dealer on BaT in September 2021. This 356A is now offered with literature, a Hoffman-Porsche importation card, a copy of the original purchase invoice, a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, service records dating back to 1987, the removed 1.6L flat-four, a front end cover, a tool kit, a spare set of polished Lemmerz wheels, fog light covers, and a Washington title, listing it as a 1959 model year.
Originally finished in black, the body was repainted Fjord Green in 1987, at which time the brightwork was also refinished. Features include a tan convertible top, driving lights, a rear luggage rack, and a driver-side mirror.
Silver-finished 15″ steel wheels wear polished hubcaps and are mounted with 165/80 Nankang CX-668 tires. Koni shocks are fitted.
The seats were reupholstered in tan leather during the refurbishment, and Simpson latch-and-link lap belts have been installed. Interior equipment includes rear leather luggage straps, a brown dash pad, sisal floor mats, a fire extinguisher, and a Blaupunkt AM/FM push-button radio.
The leather-wrapped two-spoke steering wheel fronts VDO instrumentation consisting of a tachometer with a 4,500-rpm redline, a 120-mph speedometer, and gauges for fuel level, oil temperature, and oil pressure. A VDO clock with a second sweep and a VDO ambient temperature gauge are mounted in the center of the dash. The five-digit odometer shows 45k miles. The speedometer and tachometer were repaired in 1987.
The replacement 1,750cc flat-four features dual Zenith carburetors and was installed in 1996. An oil change was performed in August 2026. The removed 1.6L flat-four is mounted to a crate and included in the sale.
