13k-Mile 2011 Porsche 911 GT3 RS
Presentation
This 2011 Porsche 911 GT3 RS is one of 541 examples built for the US market during a two-year production run, and it now has 13k miles. It is powered by a 3.8-liter flat-six linked with a six-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential, and it is finished in Carrara White with red graphics over black leather and Alcantara. Features include the Sound Package Plus, the Sport Chrono Package, red 19″ center-locking wheels, Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes, a Shark Werks exhaust system, bi-xenon headlights, a rear wing, carbon-fiber-backed seats, carbon-fiber interior trim, a roll bar, and automatic climate control. This 997.2 GT3 RS was purchased by the seller in 2021 and is now offered with a clean Carfax report and a California title in the seller’s name.
The track-focused RS model features a carbon-fiber rear wing and wider quarter panels when compared to the standard 997 GT3. This example is finished in Carrara White with red graphics and has bi-xenon headlights, fog lights, LED taillights, and dual center-mounted exhaust outlets. The front spoiler has scratches, and paint protection film has reportedly been applied to the body. The seller notes that a spare front spoiler is included in the sale.
Red 19″ center-locking multi-spoke wheels were mounted with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires in September 2026. Braking is handled by yellow Porsche-branded calipers over ceramic-composite rotors. The GT3 RS was factory equipped with Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) featuring adjustable coilovers.
The carbon-fiber-backed seats are upholstered in black leather and Alcantara with Porsche crests on the headrests and contrasting stitching that extends to the dashboard, center armrest, and door panels. Carbon-fiber trim accents the cabin, and interior appointments include red seatbelts, a CD stereo with a Bluetooth phone interface, a roll bar, and automatic climate control.
The Alcantara-wrapped steering wheel frames a central GT3-branded tachometer with an 8,400-rpm redline, a 225-mph speedometer, and gauges for coolant temperature, oil temperature, oil pressure, and fuel level. The optional Sport Chrono Package added a stopwatch atop the dashboard. The digital odometer indicates 13k miles, approximately 2k of which were added under current ownership.
The 3.8-liter Mezger flat-six features VarioCam variable valve timing as well as titanium connecting rods and dry-sump lubrication. Factory rated output was 450 horsepower and 317 lb-ft of torque. The car passed an emissions inspection in May 2026, and work in August 2026 included changing the oil and replacing the spark plugs. The seller states that the coolant lines have been pinned.

A track-beast; interesting to see if it was tracked; DME discussion to look forwards to; always!

@carsnwine thx for the paint meter readings. The roll cage and NY sticker that says “……Tech” might be an indication. Any small nicks or chips on the windshield or headlight covers? Can we get close ups with the headlights on? Pic 24 looks like numerous windshield chips, but hard to see clearly.

Now I have to stop bidding on the Spyder RS, this is insane.

If a 4.0 is going for 1 milly, this should be 600-700k in today's market. I've owned a 4.0 and driven a 3.8; it was nearly as good, just with a bit less torque, but you can easily make that up with intake and exhaust mods. The best RS you can buy.

In 2010 Porsche drove this same color combo 997.2 GT3RS from Weissach to the 24 Hours of Nurburgring, THE Chris Harris placed 13th overall, and Porsche drove it home. Will never happen again. This is the high water mark, ladies and gentleman.

I think the International armored truck (filled with cash) listed earlier today will be handy by the time this auction is complete.

A layman's view. @Seller: I trust you agree that THIS Porsche is the perfect choice for someone fed up with being an automotive introvert and then arrive at their local Cars & Wine. The red checkered flag decals bring to mind a "chessboard". To be able to afford this gem, I should've made better "moves" :)

In my opinion, and I'm not alone in feeling this way...the 997.2 GT3 RS is absolute peak motoring. Sure, the RS 4.0 version exists as an even more potent version, but for many of us, this is the nirvana we seek. I bought mine in 2013 and it is BY FAR my favorite car that I've ever owned by a huge margin. There is never a time that I regret buying it, and I'd go so far to say that I think the car actually improves with age as we see how everything continues to change. It will forever be my 'Red Ryder BB gun' and the last manual transmission car that I will ever sell. GLWTA, but you don't need any luck at all.

What's the last sportscar you can remember that had a simple steering wheel without buttons or switches? There aren't 6 driving modes, no stereo volume switches or phone controls. Perfectly emphasizes this car is all about the driving experience. 997 is peak 911. Get 'em while you can.

Hi Everyone, welcome to the auction of this 997.2 GT3RS!
As the writeup says, I've owned this beautiful car since 2021. During my ownership, I had the coolant lines pinned, full PPF applied, and a Sharkwerks exhaust installed (the factory exhaust is included). Mileage is 13,307. The car was recently serviced at Modderman Porsche in early August (plugs and fluids). A DME was performed (clean) and will be uploaded shortly.
New Michelin Cup 2 tires were installed last week and there is a spare front lip spoiler on the way. I've decided not to install the spoiler as I'm assuming the new owner will want to drive it and wait to change it out. The RS is available for viewing in San Mateo, California. Feel free to use the "Contact Seller" button if you have any questions or want to see it in person. Good luck!

Addressing the question about the windshield. I found one small chip. There are of course some minor imperfections as one would expect from normal use. Some water spots as well. Picture of chip included. Same goes for the headlights. Normal wear but very clean.
