Here is a cleaned-up, polished version that flows smoothly while keeping your strong sales pitch intact:
---
Hello everyone,
We are down to the final 15 minutes of the auction for this incredible 2021 Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series ONE Edition!
First, I want to thank everyone who has shown interest, asked questions, and placed bids on this rare piece of AMG history.
Showing just 2,200 kilometers (~1,400 miles), this ultra-exclusive, Euro-spec ONE Edition represents arguably the highest-specification example available on the market. Opportunity like this does not come around often; This is your chance to secure a truly special collector car. Much like the steady appreciation we’ve recently seen with the SLS AMG, there is no doubt in my mind that the AMG ONE Edition is position to follow that exact same appreciation trajectory.
Good luck to all bidders in these final minutes, and please let me know if you have any last-second questions!
Oct 9, 2026 · 16:23
How does it work for importing to the US? How do the taxes and fees work?
MarcoDiMedici (The Seller)
Oct 9, 2026 · 16:20
@Joel1491, Buying intra-EU keeps things simple. No more Tax to pay here for the french registration.
You will have a transportation cost, as well as Registration & Docs fee and depending the country in The E.U, local taxes such as CO2 or weight tax.
I hope I could answer your question! Have a great day!

Hey @Tbram @bullsandhorses,
For any U.S. bidders looking at the logistics of importing this Euro-spec model, the process is actually very straightforward once you break down the numbers!
Because this car requires U.S. street-legal federalization, I strongly advise working with an NHTSA-Approved Registered Importer (RI) to handle the paperwork smoothly.
Based on quotes gathered for a few interested people, the absolute cheapest route is importing it strictly as a "race car" for track use. This bypasses the federalization modifications entirely, meaning you only pay for the ocean shipping, brokerage, and title/bill of sale processing.
If you do decide to title and register the car for the street and make it fully "road legal," the all-in compliance and shipping budget securely sits between $100,000 and $125,000 which would be a high rough estimate.
Under current trade frameworks, European-built vehicles qualify for a flat 15% all-inclusive import tariff based on the vehicle's value. When you combine secure enclosed container shipping from France, customs clearance, required DOT safety labeling, and standard safety cell compliance adjustments, the path to getting it onto U.S. roads is highly manageable and completely transparent as soon as you will be in contact with a RI.
Plus, let's not forget that this car is eligible for a French VAT refund since it is being exported outside the EU, which is a massive financial bonus!
Keep in mind that these figures are just an estimation based on current quotes , the final customs duty will ultimately depend on where the final bid lands here, haha!
With all that considered, this is truly one of the highest-specced Black Series One Editions out there. You are looking at a car with rare options that you simply won't find on any other One Edition in the world.
Thank you for the question and good luck to everyone bidding!

If you have the means, take a vacation rent a house in Nice put it in the garage, work out shipping details. If it doesn't work out use it as your ride to the Casino down the street. Most people don't want to do the work.

I got you. I love this car. One of my favorites. I just left Dallas Lamborghini and ran into an 812 they had in the back for sale, my second favorite car. Hopefully the coordinator for this sale can make it work. I will be rooting for you.
Oct 8, 2026 · 20:37
@tbram I understand, and am aware of the value. I have had 4 black series and have wanted a AMG ONE for a min. But more so the cost to get to US DOT.
Saying could be 17% in tariff, transport, and anywhere from $10,000-200,000 to get to US DOT Spec if I want as a road car... Doesn’t help for my buying decision brother.
If seller can answer those questions that would be helpful.

@bullsandhorses
Its about the total cost if you had to pay the VAT in france, registration different deal depends on the state, also I previously posted a listing of this vehicles that did not sell, give you an idea what this vehicle will sell for
Oct 8, 2026 · 18:19
Has anyone gotten a quote from an importing company to make this street legal in USA? Or have recommendations? I know there will have to be modifications to the car to make it pass US DOT (airbags, etc.) + tariffs/duty + transportation.

Given the complexities of homologation, Tariffs, the lack of a title issued (in France) and the shipping hurdles as well as the selling party being a dealer, would they be interested/willing to absorb the responsibilities of all of the above? I'd love to bid on the car but just too many risks/uncertainties. Given the vast majority of the money available and buyer pool residing in the US, this would really open the likelihood of a much higher sale price at auction end.

Hey @bullsandhorses,
It really comes down to different factors! It depends on whether you are a private buyer or a dealer, if you want to go the track-only route or full street legal ect...
I actually ran a quote for someone yesterday who wanted a track-only setup. For that pathway, you are looking at roughly 15% to 27.5% in total duties + transport, but the huge upside is that absolutely no physical modifications are required based on that registration type.
Also, don't forget that if the car is permanently leaving the E.U., you are eligible to claw back the 20% French VAT; That refund triggers right after the car clears European customs and the electronic proof of export is generated.
I’d highly encourage any interested bidders to get a tailored pre-quote based on exactly how you plan to title it and where. I personally use a logistics company out of California that specializes in importing European exotics like this one. They can handle the whole process from A to Z, including modifications and regulations.
Hope I could answer your question! Have a great day and good luck!

@MarcoDiMedici, have you obtained any quotes or estimates regarding the cost to homologate this vehicle for the U.S. market?

@MarcoDiMedici , I just wanted to clarify something regarding this sale.
The listing states that the car is “offered by the seller on behalf of the owner, a retail dealer.” However, it appears the vehicle may be presented as a private-party sale.
Could you please clarify how this works?
If the vehicle belongs to another private owner, how is it possible to sell the car as a private-party transaction?
Who will be the legal seller in the event of a successful auction?
Who will receive the winning payment from the buyer?
Is there a consignment or representation agreement between you and the actual owner?
Will the sales contract be directly between the registered owner and the winning bidder, or between the seller/retailer and the buyer?
Are there any additional fees or commissions involved for the buyer or seller?
I would appreciate it if you could clarify the structure of the transaction and how the payment and ownership transfer are handled.
Thank you in advance.

Hey, yes it can be registered in the US and be driven. It will need a slight modification for regulations but nothing too crazy here ✌🏼
