2018 Audi R8 V10 RWS Coupe
Presentation
This 2018 Audi R8 V10 coupe is one of 320 Rear Wheel Series (RWS) examples produced for the US market, all of which were rear-wheel drive. It is finished in Florett Silver Metallic over a Black Nappa leather interior and is powered by a 5.2-liter V10 paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transaxle. The car has been provided with a Soul Performance Products exhaust system, a fixed carbon-fiber rear wing, and a Maxton Design front spoiler. Other equipment includes carbon-fiber interior trim, 20″ Y-spoke forged wheels, and a Bang & Olufsen sound system. The seller purchased the car in 2026 and has since added approximately 4k of the 38k indicated miles. This R8 is now offered with a clean Carfax report and an Arizona title.
The car is finished in Florett Silver Metallic (LZ7G) and features a Maxton Design front spoiler and a fixed carbon-fiber rear wing. Just 999 RWS cars were produced worldwide, and they featured glass black upper side blades and body-color lower side blades. The seller notes that clear paint protection film covers the front trunk lid, mirror caps, rocker moldings, and rear fenders, and a ceramic coating has been applied.
Forged 20″ Y-spoke alloy wheels are mounted with aftermarket wheel spacers and are shod with Continental ExtremeContact Sport 02 tires. The car came equipped from the factory with Magnetic Ride Control, and braking is handled by red-finished calipers fitted over cross-drilled and ventilated discs at each corner.
The heated power-adjustable seats are trimmed in Black Nappa leather, while Carbon Sigma high-gloss trim accents the dashboard, center console, and door panels. Amenities include a Bang & Olufsen sound system, keyless entry, automatic climate control, and an Audi MMI navigation system. The air-conditioning system compressor was reportedly replaced in April 2026. Some imperfections can be seen on the driver’s seat, and peeling trim can be seen on the passenger side of the dash.
A plaque on the dashboard denotes the car as one of 999 in the Rear Wheel Series.
The flat-bottom steering wheel frames a configurable Audi Virtual Cockpit display. The digital odometer indicates 38k miles, approximately 4k of which were added under current ownership.

@Grivera37 Ah, gotcha, you’re referring to the exterior red stripe. That was an optional RWS graphic/appearance treatment, not standard equipment on all RWS cars. This car was not optioned with it from the factory. Hope that helps, and thanks for the bid!

Does it have OE cats, sport cats, or no cats?
If no cats, do you have factory?

Welcome to the final day of the auction! Definitely a bittersweet day for me.
In my opinion, this generation of R8 represents something pretty special, a high-revving, naturally aspirated V10 in a package that you can genuinely enjoy on the road. I specifically sought out the RWS for the purity of the driving experience, and paired with the exhaust, I think it's one of the best-sounding cars on the road. I'll especially miss the smiles, thumbs-ups, and requests for a rev at stoplights.
The car shows great and has been very well cared for. During my ownership I added PPF to the rockers and rear, ceramic coating, spacers, and custom red oil cap. It has only been hand-washed by me inside my garage.
I've tried to be as transparent and responsive as possible throughout the auction and appreciate all of the questions, comments, and interest in the car. I'll be monitoring the auction closely today and am happy to answer any last-minute questions.
Thanks again to everyone following along, and GLWTA!

@sf49ersfan Quick follow-up on the brakes as promised. I was able to retrieve the February PPI this morning. The inspection does not provide numerical pad or rotor measurements, but both the front and rear pads/rotors, as well as the front and rear brake lines, received a passing/green inspection. I’ve uploaded the relevant portion of the PPI here for reference

@sf49ersfan72 I took a closer look at the panel gaps this evening after seeing your comment. The hood-to-bumper gap measures approximately 3/8" on the passenger side and is the same on the driver side. In person the gaps appear even and symmetrical; I believe the angle of photos 17 and 19 makes the passenger side look more pronounced. Happy to upload additional straight-on photos of both sides for comparison.
I don't have brake measurements on hand, so I don't want to speculate there. The brakes have not presented any issues during my ownership. I believe break measurements were taken when I had my PPI done in February. The link to the PPI appears to have expired but I will contact the shop tomorrow to see if they can provide it as a reference point.
Side note - I am originally from Sacramento, big niners fan, 4-0 baby!

@MPMotorsports821 Thanks for the questions. The marks above the glovebox are some fraying/wear along the edge of the carbon-fiber dash trim, as shown in the listing photos. In my opinion the close-up photography makes it appear considerably more pronounced than it does in person or in the videos, but I wanted to make sure it was clearly represented for bidders. This happened prior to my ownership so I cannot comment as to how they were made. I will also note that those marks are limited to that area only.
Regarding the wing. The factory movable spoiler is still present and operational underneath the fixed carbon wing; it has not been deactivated. The fixed wing was installed prior to my ownership, so I don't want to speculate about the exact mounting method beyond what I can verify visually.I will add photos of the uprights and the underside/mounting area so bidders can see the setup.

Couple questions, what are all the marks and tears on the dashboard front just above the glovebox box and how did you deactivate the movable wing panel since there is now a fixed wing mounted? Did you buy a V10 plus wing plate or was that wing screwed into the factory movable wing?

@Tippster Good catch. There is no known CEL or engine issue with the car. That photo was taken with the ignition switched on but the engine not started (start button pressed without the brake pedal depressed), which illuminates the check-engine light as part of the normal warning-light check. Once the engine is started, the light goes out and does not remain illuminated. Happy to provide an additional photo/video showing the dash with the engine running if helpful.

There is a CEL on in photo 80 (and engine is running) - is there a known issue and if so - what is causing the light to be on?

@dvdman The vehicle has a lien with my lender. The lien will be paid off in full as part of the transaction and the title released to the buyer. It does not affect the purchase price or how you should factor your bid. I’m happy to coordinate directly with the winning bidder and their lender (if financing) to ensure a smooth payoff/title transfer

The vehicle was purchased on 2/5/26 with 34,563 on it. The vehicle was shipped to my location and all paperwork had to be done via mail for wet signature. The dealer did not request a smog certificate when filing the title/registration in AZ, therefor I never received registration. After contacting the dealer and lender to inquire we found out I needed to take the vehicle in for a emissions inspection.
I did not get emissions completed until 4/21/26. My emissions inspection report shows the mileage as 37,500, which is what would have been recorded when the vehicle was finally titled registered in my name in April, nearly 3 months after the initial purchase.
Let me know if you want to review any documentation, I have both the Buyers Order and Emissions Report handy.

Welcome to the auction and thanks for checking out my R8 RWS. I purchased the Audi earlier this year and parting ways with it is absolutely crushing. The naturally aspirated V10, RWD, and exhaust on this car makes for an incredible experience, and the car has been a dream to own. I’ll be available to answer any questions along the way, and I can also be available for local viewings in the greater phoenix area. Good luck to all the bidders.
