I thought you might see this. Trust you are doing well. Engine in vehicle;
Yes ,,,,a re-built six cylinder 911T.... I believe
Re-built by Mayo Performance, with sight bump in displacement and HP
Short history since I bought the vehicle in 2017:
Subaru engine was in place and running when I purchased it . Radiator was in the frunk with coolant lines running to the rear. Original 4 cyl engine and transmission came with the car
and are included in the sale. Original engine was re-built by Mayo Performance and installed in 2018. (see picture of engine #....recently submitted)
I purchase the non-running 911T engine from Pelican Parts (?). May Performance removed the re-built 4 cyl and installed the re-built 911 6 cyl in 2020. Invoices and re-build info are shown in the Auction Pictures

@PDXBryan don’t lose hope, if a peasant like me can find his way into one, then you can too… I thought I missed my chance but I managed to get one that was listed here. Currently going through it and making it mine. A little underwater with 3 “toys” now so I’ll likely be listing a car here soon once they are ready to go. I knew mine would have some compromise and it’s basically because it’s not the original color and not a 912 anymore… but has a red fan flat 6 IYKYK
I still can’t believe it when I see it in the garage…

@2mAn
The EJ25 Subie motor was a flat-4 and it was the reason I used to daydream about this car when it showed up here back in ‘17. Imagine a 912 with about 70% more power that a peasant like me could actually afford to fix - a freakin’ dream come true! Sure wish I’d had the funds to bid 9 years ago. But now the world’s been made right again and it’s back in unobtainium land where all us dreamers get to watch from the wrong side of the tracks then go home and cry in our pillows. First world tragedy, right? ;^)

@partman55 this has been swapped with a 2.2 flat6 from a 911... its currently 2.3 with the big bore 86mm pistons. This is effectively a SWB 911, even has the 901 gearbox
Sep 25, 2026 · 23:19
912 were 4 cylinders the engine looks like a 911T not a Subaru? Please verify.
Sep 25, 2026 · 20:15
So, curious about where they put the radiator and how they ran the coolant? What was done to modify the fitment of the EJ motor? Was any modification made including cutting or welding to the original chassis or body to accommodate the conversion? Were any of these modifications repaired and or properly brought back to factory spec when reinstalling the 912 motor and trans?

Very cool, so this Porsche flat6 was a 2.2 originally, quite the overbore setup. @Sims how would you describe the engine character of this setup? Should be very rev happy. Interesting to go from the subaru flat 6 back to the 912 flat 4 and then to this 2.3... cool stuff. Hope this brings big money!
