Japanese-Market 1999 Porsche 996 Carrera Coupe Sakura Widebody

The Arctic Silver Metallic bodywork has been modified with Sakura Products wide fender flares secured by exposed hardware, giving the Carrera a substantially wider and more aggressive stance. Additional modifications include a custom front lip, a painted ducktail-style rear decklid, and rare 18” Panasport G7 three-piece wheels with custom color-matched faces. According to the seller, the fender flares and rear decklid have been refinished to match the body, while the remainder of the car retains its original paint and presents well overall with minor age- and mileage-related imperfections.
The Seal Grey cabin remains largely original and is appointed with optional leather upholstery extending to the front and rear seats. Factory equipment includes a four-spoke leather steering wheel with Tiptronic shift buttons, heated eight-way power-adjustable front seats with power lumbar adjustment, driver-seat position memory, automatic climate control, an onboard computer, and a factory Hi-Fi audio system. A Pioneer head unit and upgraded speakers have been installed, while the original Japanese ETC electronic toll-card reader remains in place as a reminder of the car’s previous life in Japan. The seller describes the interior as exceptionally well preserved, noting minimal wear to the steering wheel and leather upholstery with no significant cracks, tears, or scratches.
A naturally aspirated 3.4-liter M96 flat-six sends up to 296 HP and 258 lb-ft of torque to the rear wheels through a 5-speed Tiptronic automatic transmission. @jhudnall we have double checked all the Japanese history and cannot confirm weather it has been done or not. Our statement touches on the fact that the early cars came with the dual row IMS which is regarded as the least prone to failure. -Seb

@TomSesto Hello Tom, this 996 is extremely nice with NO warning lights of any kind other than the spoiler light because it has an aftermarket trunk lid. It drives extremely well with great street manners but quick enough to get around traffic. -Seb

Anything wrong or missing? No caution lights on? How does it drive? About as expected? Did you have to smog it? I will have to do so in CA.
