It is a shame you were never given the maintenance booklet that came with the car originally as it is used as a backup for the hood sticker produced at factory and attached to the hood by dealers before delivery. I guess the next best thing would be to get a VIN Analytics build sheet. But it is puzzling why it is not on the hood. Thanks for the response.
Any idea why the hood sticker is missing? Could you please post a pic of the one in the maintenance booklet? Description refers to paint readings but I don't see them posted. Are they available?

Arctic Silver rare? It was the std silver color for '97 MY and was widely spec'd. Just on BaT, it represents 16 of the last 40 '97s sold. The rare spec is the Rubicon Grey interior.
