Didn’t mean the grandpa as an insult, especially as I am one and am older than you! I just drive my cars with a tad more spirit than in your video and am interested in this car exactly because it’s a turbo with iconic, widow-making lag. I’ll be bidding and of course wish you the very best with the auction.

It’s evident this lovely car has sat a lot. What’s the condition of the rubber fuel lines and the accumulator? When’s the last time the brake fluid was flushed, and what’s the condition of the brake lines? I’m just concerned about overall rubber rot on a car that’s been sitting so long (after all, the tires are 11 years old). Not a big deal, just a bunch of potential deferred service for the buyer.

Wonderful car. Any chance you could post a video showing the car driven with spirit versus grandpa takes his old Porsche for a drive to church? It would be nice to see and hear the turbo engage.

Studying your nice set of photos more carefully, I’ve got a few questions:
1. What’s the pink non-factory hose in photo 233?
2.Heat exchangers / turbo exhaust plumbing (photos 235 and 238) Any perforations or flange leaks?
3. Oil sheen ( photos 231, 232, 235). Are the turbo oil return and cooler seals leaking? Also please confirm there’s no rust in the front cooler area (photos 241/242).
4. Refinished transaxle/diff (photos 234, 236) sharply contrast with the rusty exhaust. Please confirm they are original. Were they rebuilt or just cleaned up for the photo shoot?
