The beautiful thing about the 911 is there exists one for nearly every taste. I love my 992.1 C2S manual. I bought it for driving on the road, not racing. We have very decently maintained roads where I live and the ride quality with the PASM on is just about as firm as I’d really ever want. “This car isn’t fast enough” is a phrase I have yet to utter. If I wanted to race with any regularity I would definitely consider a GT car. If I wanted something more exclusive and was willing to tolerate a stiffer ride with less creature comforts, I would also consider a GT car. If all you’re looking for is a 911 to take out on the weekend, and you don’t own a $100 bill printing press, you can’t beat a Carrera T/S/GTS with the manual transmission. That being said, if you want the ultimate track beast 911, Porsche is more than happy to meet your needs.
